Everyone assumed Arsenal would steamroller Monaco. Apparently they have 1 loss in 17 games. They were excellent.

I'm with Azzy. There was no agreed prize money and the feeling was that there shouldn't be.

I thought the plan was a player was to be given to the winner who was free on TM and couldn't be sold until they have value? I'm not sure if this was made clear or not hence why Trebs probably thought he was £1m up.

I have no complains with this.

Viva's predictions used to have prize money of £500k. And that was 10 fixtures.

I oppose any prize money more than £250k and don't think there should be any at all.

First I've heard of this tbh. Can't remember discussing it.

It's only 1mill guys. Let trebs have it as the money was spent in the League anyway, not fon foreigns or such.

No-one should get anything. This was something you wanted, not the group. I don't want a predicitions league, nor do I want others to play it and benefit financially from it.

Something like getting a £0 player from TM? No problem. You don't benefit from it. But you were the only person clamouring for a predictions league, and for prize money. I think you should give Trebs £1m personally.

I think IF anything like this happens in the future then before its posted the prizes should be made clear, just so we don't have any confusion.

Just put Trebs at minus 1m & when he's lawyer goes through deduct it.

Or we all just add £1m because for some reason we all want loads of money in the league.

Yeah good idea trebs. But knowing azzy........

Knowing the agreement we all had as managers right before we restarted to this current league..........it's not just me nadz, every single manager present agreed to keep money at an absolute minimum. This rather quickly escalates the amount of money coming into the league and, as I have no wish to participate, there should be no financial reward which would put me at a disadvantage. It's what we all agreed ages ago and was the basis for the entire league structure.

Regardless of that proposal by Trebs, one manager one week could be £2m in profit. That could be the difference in signing a key player to help him beat my team in a future week. That's not fair and is essentially a loan from other managers, which we halted many league incarnations ago.

I don't see why this discussion is continuing tbh.

Hero founded the site and said FL voted nay. Are you calling our august leader a liar? Are you?

Hero works for the illuminati. He's one of the head honcho's over there. I think he's bribed FL to vote no by threatening him by telling the NHS that FL's got a fake doctors licence. The truth is out there.

I'm not actually that bothered.

I do think people are being a bit uppity over a bit of fun though.

I'm happy to have fun Trebs of course but I also see Azzys point about stopping too much money in the league, I know one prediction for like 500k isn't going to hurt but I think Azzy is concerned about if we end up having too many.

There is a chance of multiple winners in which case the prize money is split up which is a better alternative.
