Arum Kicked From Media Call

All the talk lately is how Oscar Dela Hoya has wanted to bury the hatchet with Bob Arum, and allow Golden Boy Promotions to work with Top Rank. All that seems to have gone unnoticed by Showtime.

The media call between Golden Boys Gary Russell JR and Top Ranks Vasyl Lomochenko was set to feature both promoters and there seemed no bad blood had been between the pair. Showtime however had different plans. Before the call was set to begin, they made a call to Arum to inform him that he wouldn’t be on the call.

So while it seems that the promoters want to end the cold war, and settle old differences, the TV company don’t want this to happen. Surely a company which needs viewing figures would be able to see the bigger picture and see how making a stupid move like this could impact their ratings, unfortunately it doesn’t appear that way.
