Dark Souls

Has anyone played this?

I dusted off the PS3 at the weekend to give GTA V another play through, and then saw Dark Souls 2 advertised, wondered if it was worth picking up the first one which is cheap enough these days.

Depends on what you like in a game. You die all the time, it's immensely hard. If you like a challenge, go for it but it's not for the faint hearted. I loved it but others hate it.

Dark Souls is one of the best, most under-rated games of its generation.
Complete it and you'll have aged ten years through stress, and you'll have the authority to shout down anyone who claims any other game is hard.
Buy it, and a replacement controller.

Going to pick it up on payday. Decided to raid the preowned section of Game and eBay for some great deals as well.

think i may need to give it a whirl, although im not known for my patience i could easily end up giving up. either that or have to buy a new tv when i smash it up

remember giving up on shadow of colossus for similar reasons

I always wanted to play DS but never has time to play it as it's a long ass game. But with some free time now, I've ordered the PTD edition and gonna start playing in a couple of days!
