6CW....It is time to play!

This Sunday, WWE Wrestlemania, 6CW Day of Reckoning and 6WF Survival. That's a lot of wrestling to take in

I based gazzy on characters I always used to make as a kid when I first got WWF Warzone for the N64, He was usually high flying, brightly coloured hair etc and called gazzyD....I wasn't the coolest of kids , over time I've tried to develop him a bit more with the whole History Maker, human highlight reel gimmick but the whole creativity of efedding really appealed to the kid in me, and I wanted to do something that reminds me of a better time haha
 
As for The Talent, I'm a huge NFL fan and wanted to build a back story behind the sport. I can't remember what the program was but I seen something about a guy who played rugby and got a fairly big hit (and fall) and was told he'd never walk again and just defied everybody so I thought that was pretty cool to work into a back story as well. Plus I think the major appeal is I wanted to creat a character who I could seriously envisage playing a face or a heel. We tried turning gazzy heel once with the birth of Genesis and although the story rocked it didn't feel right as I think gazzy will always be a babyface and I just couldn't write a heel promo for him to save my life. I think should The Talent ever turn heel I wouldn't have that problem as I already have a manager ready for if it ever wereto happen

To go with what Gazzy said I first created The Viper Liam Wood on WWF No Mercy and he was covered in tattoos (I think I used Undertakers?) and his move set was literally every power move in the game so was really unrealistic haha.

I like to think he's a bit more realistic now...same amount of tattoos though haha.

Well I best answer my own question.

Joshua was a character I had in mind for a long time. I'm not new to efedding, but instead of evolving a character gimmick wise during his promo life (for those in 6wf think Vortex), I wanted to create a whole backstory for a character to begin with, that will slowly leak out as time goes on. I do creative writing as a hobby, so Joshua was actually a character in a short story I wrote. McCoy evolved from this as an extension of Joshua who started out not being able to show any emotion.

When it came to creating Joshua the wrestler from Joshua the short story character, I thought about builds and techniques that would stand out from everyone else. Joshua was always very deliberate in speech and actions and I wanted the wrestler to reflect this in ring. Build wise I actually based him on Lurch from the addams family! I wanted someone tall, but reasonably slim. You may think he is like a Takeo, but he actually is quite fast and athletic rather than being the normal tall guy that uses power moves. That is why his moveset has holds but also speedy moves like flying forearms and running knees. All about being methodical and keeping his opponent at bay rather than slamming them all around the ring

It's great to see how all you guy's make up you'r wrestlers and make them in to a great character, Even though Joshua has only just been introduced to us all he has quickly become my fav.

Speaking of which, What's everyone else's favourite 6CW super star and why?

The Ronster...only the Ronster.

Seriously though my favourite characters at the moment are Scott Harris, Ojore and Mr Hernandez.

Thanks mate, others take note lol. I have worked damn hard with Joshua and there is much more to come. Can't wait for my best proper feud and to get some b&f's going

Favourite 6cw character? There have been so many that I have read in archive shows. If you get the chance, I strongly recommend reading some.

In terms of e-fedding, I really like people who use classic wrestling methods to have a character and give a lot to their opponents with this character. That's why I've long had Enforcer as my favourite. Adamson is a damn good classic heel too.

I enjoy writing as Cassidy and The Talent Jimmy Phillips.

Finally got the Ojore/Enforcer exchange up. Format might be a bit out cos Paul remembered to use bold but I didn't.

MOTN for me apart from the GTG will be Wood/Thunder...personally it involves my character so I'm invested but I also think that out of the matches it's the one with the most heated rivalry so will be awesome to see what both men do to get the win.

That was lucky then.....Hero's previous track record isn't the best. Bit of a tight wad. Lucky Ojore didn't come out with a crown full of firecrackers

Liked the promo chris and E, just thrown up a very short Cassidy one, not got a huge amount to say really but wanted to do something.

Excluding the Gateway to glory match i'd go for the tag titles I think the dynamic between Masters & Harris is an interesting one, they could either work as a well oiled machine or ego's could cause them to implode...There's also the side note of how big a part the Authority (as a whole, not just H&D) will go to secure the win.

And to answer blades question from yesterday my favourite characters in 6CW right now are... Mr Jones, Enforcer & Mike Masters

The who? Sorry not in with all this wrestling talk.

It basically means all the nerdier fans who are in the know but also think they're a bit cooler (I can't bemoan them, however I consider myself a smark rather than IWC)

A smark would be a smart fan (or mark) who is up with all the goings on outside of kayfabe, someone in the IWC I also say is someone who has all that but is snobby about their picks and favourites and supports people that are less renowned to begin with.

Ah right got ya, cheers mate, well I think they would either love Blade or hate his guts, He's not to every ones taste so think that's what they would think of him.

Went for a mile run yesterday. Stupid Ice Cream Man just kept driving even though I was waving my money in the air!

To answer my own question I have a feeling with Edward Plague they'd rave about his gimmick online but then you'd have people checking his wikipedia and chanting his real name (ala Bray Wyatt with Husky Harris chants).

With Wood I'm in two minds, I think he'd either be loved due to the fact his backstory involves indie feds and he has quite a smark friendly moveset and attitude OR he's be hated by the IWC due to him being quite popular (before his semi-heel turn against Thunder anyway).

Morning sports fans, Just woke up starting my new job today a full 12 hour shift today and tomorrow but hey at least I can catch a bit of wrestlemaina tomorrow morning lol.

I have four days off but have qualification work to do so should really get on with that...no fun!

It's official, I'm old, Did my first 12 hour shift today and am pooped and have to do it all over again tomorrow but hey I got five days before I have to do it all over again.   

Just a history question of 6CW...are there any current roster members who have achieved anything like a triple crown or won every title available?

Technically in EWF Wood was a double crown winner...if that's a thing? (It's not)

And to answer your question I believe the only person to have won all titles was Dicey Reilly who is a now retired star. Think Daniel Reilly might be the next closest but I can't think of which title he never won, think he deffo had world, tag and one of the mid card titles, he's also the only member on the current roster who is a multi time world champion on two occasions

GTG Final four predictions anyone?

(I know this isn't the prediction thread but I think a few people missed it so more people will probably answer here)

Defo would have a punt on Enforcer with those odds

I think the final four (with a little bit of hope as well) will be Joshua, Nate Nack, Enforcer, Ojore

Looking at it now, I'm not so sure. But it goes along the line of thinking I had in the prediction thread. So I'm sticking with my original thought.

What about Gazzy and his 30 spot?

For me I'd go for Gazzy (30 spot) which would lead me to think Max has to be in there...then I'd selfishly say Wood and Nate Nack but in my mind Masters/Harris and Enforcer are likely to be there.

My final prediction is:

Gazzy D, Max Adamson, Nate Nack and Liam Wood...I have a feeling Wood won't be there though...it's more just wishful thinking like you Twisty.

I still dont think gazzy will be 30

I reckon one if two things will happen. Either max will force him to trade numbers or max will already be eliminated by the 30 spot and then he takes gazzys number re-enters and then with max in the final 4 gazzy storms the ring and eliminates him although not actually in the match

The way I see it personally Viper is by the time Gazzy (or Max if Gazzy D Is correct) comes in, there would have been very few eliminations. I think at that point we will all be guessing still who could win. For that reason, I don't think the number 30 spot will be that important because of the amount of wrestlers still in the ring.
