First topic message reminder :

Some cracking games this week, Barca/City and Bayern/Arsenal. Can't see past Bayern and Barca wins. Pellegrini has said he'll attack Barca and I say do so at your peril. This may not be the Barca side from 2010-2012 but its still a very very good side with players in form currently, namely Fabregas, Sanchez and with a returning Messi back in the goals. There's a chance that if they go in with two strikers that they could get torn to pieces. I think against Barca you have to play a 5 man midfield. They keep the ball too well and will just pass their way through you.

Hmm.  On one hand you're right but on the other hand Pique and Puyol were hardly the quickest yet Pep managed them well against Madrid.

Different Madrid side that was though Juan, they relied to heavily on Ronaldo a couple of seasons back now they have Bale to help out and in form Benzema. Dare I say it Modric has improved their midfield ever since he's become a first team player.

I know what you mean, they did look a bit one dimensional under Mourinho at times. It would be a very interesting tie on paper at least.

I think it's because Valencia jumps in whereas the Bayern player is grounded all the time. I didn't think it was a yellow but I've seen dodgier cards given.

there was 3 covering defenders and High Foot in Europe = Immediate foul.

Valencia jumped in and was very lucky to avoid a booking even though was 50/50

And in the space of 90 seconds their DM is decimated.

Well Utd are still in the tie, which is more than I thought they would be.

You might have a point if Welbecks foot was at all high which it wasn't.

Finally showed some fight, we might lose and lose badly in Munich but at least we put in a massive shift for the first time this season.
