Best Mark Out Moments

Continuing the current trend of topics where we have been discussing the most under/over rated wrestlers, best beatdowns etc. I thought I'd continue with a thread to discuss the best mark out moments. Obviously everyones will be different but what were the moments in wrestling history that you had shouting at the tv or up on your feet celebrating like crazy?

My personal favourite would be when CM Punk when the ROH World Title back in 2005. Everyone had been rooting for him to win for son long and straight after the match he turned heel. It was brilliant. I'll try dig out a video for you guys.

Other mentions have to go to the recent moment when Christian won the World Title. Great feeling!

yes Steve , I agree with both of them , what about Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam 2010? I didnt expect it , nor did anyone else! Also special mention goes to ( and I might be berated for it! ) but John Cena getting drafted in 2005 to Raw , brilliant!

Warrior returning at Mania 8 to save Hogan and belting it down the aisle is probably the most i've ever marked out.

Great moment! The best return ever in my book. My folks didn't have Sky Movies though back in the day so I relied on watch my mates taped copy. When I went to school the next day those that had watch it were all talking about, didn't have the same buzz watching it after you know it'd happened.

Stone Cold returning to beat the hell out of the Alliance! everything about it was amazing.

Taker returning at Judgment Day 2000 is also a favourite off mine.

All my first true Mark out moments where thanks to Warrior, winning the IC Title off Rude in 89 beating Hogan in 90, beating Savage in 91 and returning in 92, everytime HBK won the World Title, Rock returning this year and Christian winning the WHC

Bret Harts 1st world title - It wasn't even on tv I remember Mean Gene annoucing it on the update section of Superstars

Mike Tyson joins DX! Brilliant moment back in 97

Michaels wins 4th more title. Capped an amazing comeback, never thought we'd see him wrestler again

Rock returns, well it sure beat my expectations of Justin Bieber/Bob Baker

Didnt read any spoilers back then, so was a massive shock as I though he was dead

I remember actually saying out loud " I though he was dead" and my dad coming in and asking me what i was going on about lol

What about Montreal? I remember watching it live then stopping the VHS & rewatching it about 5-10 times genuinely thinking 'what happened there? That wasnt the way it was meant to end' also why's the pay view finished 20 mins early??

Some of you might have noticed I'm a huge Jericho mark. Him debuting on Raw in '99 was a massive mark out moment for me. I'd followed his career since Mexico through to the end of his WCW run. The way they built it up was genius too. Best debut ever IMO.

Foley flying off the cell was a bit of a mark out moment too...I say a bit...I screamed "Holy you know what" so loud the neighbours banged on the wall.

Cena at Royal Rumble 2008 - Didn't watch then but i know the backround behind it and have seen it on Youtube and it's brilliant.

Obviously Rock returning this year was amazing i completely marked out!

When HHH returned with Taker this year too. I think the way they built it up and then returned them both was very well done.

I can't believe I never mentioned the Stone Cold return to kick the Alliance's behind. JR's commentary on that moment makes it.

For how much I dislike him when John Cena returned at the 2008 Royal Rumble I went crazy. Nobody had a clue and it was literally like what the hell is he doing back? Hunter was 100% going to win that Rumble too which made it better.

Foley's 2 bumps in that HIAC match was the most i've ever marked out - i just could not believe what i was seeing

The first tag team ladder match at No Mercy? between the Hardy and E&C was also crazy at the time - never seen anything like it!

I'm with the guys mentioning Cena returning at number 30 in the Royal Rumble in 2008. For a moment, everyone forgot they were supposed to be hating him and the whole arena marked out!

When Mick Foley revealed Cactus Jack would be returning to face Triple H in at street fight in 2000 was one I always remember.

1. The Rock return 2011
2. Booker T return 2011 (even though i knew it was coming)
3. In 2005 when Brett Harts music went off (i really thought he was coming)
