WOW What a ending to this amazing show, cant help feeling tho that this wont be the last we hear of dexter morgan any one else agree

Was being sarcastic can understand him turning off life support, but to then take body out of hospital was really stupid, he is still alive so he will still have the urge to kill presumable just did not make sense at all

Tried watching it when it first came out...struggled to reconcile Dexter the Killer with the gay brother in Six Feet Under.



Also thought it was carp so gave up.

watched the first series , liked it but kept missing the second series and couldn't get into it after that .another programme went on too long

Series 1-3 very good. Series 4 out of this world good, one of the best series I have ever seen. Downhill from there unfortunately. Some decent ideas in the final series just poorly executed.

Wrong kind of show to have an ending supposed to pull on the heart strings.

The ending was very traumatic. So sad  

I loved the whole series, but agree that the ending was a little flat. I thought he was more selfish and I am sure they were going for stoic. I liked the ideas in the last series, but agree they were bolted together somewhat.

I read that the studio asked them to keep it opened ended as they where trying to convince them to do another season which could be the reason the ending didn't really work.

Very good show overall.

Agree the ending wasn't great.
Didn't see Debra Morgan dying, interesting he dumped her in the water, when that is where he put his victims.

Quite good though that Miami metro never found out that he as the serial killer.
Also that he didn't die either, which I thought he would going into series 8


Another show that may have dragged a bit to long.

Overall would give it 8/10.

Series 1 - very good
Series 2 - decent
Series 3 - ho hum
Series 4 - outstanding
Series 5-8 - all merge into a great big ball of rubbish.

I did think series 8 was one of the weakest.

Two people have told me that Dexter is just a waste of time after season 1. I have given season one a go ,and after losign my lunch to "Hannibal" over the last couple of years, it's pretty meh. I much preferred the main guy in "Six Feet Under" which never had a bad episode and after The Sopranos, is my second favourite ever series.
