Smackdown Spoilers Empty Smackdown Spoilers

Post by Fernando Wed 17 Jul 2013, 10:04 am

* SmackDown kicks off with Teddy Long in the ring. He announces that Vince McMahon will be giving him a job evaluation. Booker T comes out and says he would be resuming the General Manager position. Out comes Vince McMahon. McMahon says that only one person can be in charge, and he asks what do they have to offer. Teddy announces Curtis Axel vs. Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Title. Booker announced Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton.

Brad Maddox comes out and announces the return of RVD to SmackDown. Vince then announces that Vickie Guerrero is the new SmackDown General Manager. Vickie then cuts a promo about how she hates all of us.

* Dolph Ziggler defeated Jack Swagger after hitting the Zig-Zag. Cesaro and Zeb were sent backstage after Cesaro pulled Ziggler off the apron into his uppercut. Following the match, Ziggler cut a promo about dumping AJ. He said he should have done it sooner.

AJ was watching backstage with Big E and went nuts. The two almost ended up kissing.

* Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. The Usos never started because Dean Ambrose ran in. Mark Henry made the save. The Shield retreated.

* Daniel Bryan beat Wade Barrett by submission. Bryan came out to a massive pop.

* MizTV with Paul Heyman. Heyman praises Brock Lesnar and tells CM Punk to just give up. Heyman threatens another attack from Lesnar. The Miz cracks jokes to end the segment.

* Curtis Axel beat Chris Jericho. After the match, Ryback came out and nailed Jericho with the Meathook and Shellshocked.

* Damien Sandow comes out and talks about Cody Rhodes attacking him on RAW. He says they're still best friends and tag team partners, and calls Cody out. Sandow offers to forgive Cody and let him be the guardian of his Money in the Bank briefcase. Cody attacks Sandow but he escapes the ring and heads to the back.

* Rob Van Dam defeated Darren Young (w/Titus O'Neil).

* Vickie Guerrero has security escort Teddy Long out of the arena.

* Big Show will be returning to RAW on Monday it's announced.

* Randy Orton beat Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match. Orton won clean with a RKO. SmackDown ends with Orton celebrating.

Not happy that they've given Mark Henry a fully-fledged face turn it seems, ridiculous booking.

Also Albert Del Rio to be released?

Oh boy, Big Show returns on Raw! I reckon they will either pair him up with Henry or be a victim to the Wyatt Family.

Disappointed Vickie's GM, but then again prefer to Teddy.

Hope Ortons injury aint too serious.

So if Vickie's the Smackdown GM where does this leave Booker T? Maybe a short in-ring run?

And does Randy Orton's strained cervix top X-Pac's broken ass?

Unless men have a uterus/womb then they definitely don't have a cervix.

A cervical strain doesn't mean a strain of the cervix...

I dont see why anyone can be disappointed qith a Henry run in, I know it turns him face but it'd be even less logical if he didn't take issue with The Shield,  I dont think his objective would be to save the Uso's, it'd be to get revenge on the guys who jumped him Monday night...the question is why did The Shield take him out at that particular time

I'm not disappointed with the run in, I'm disappointed that they've chosen to turn Henry face. It was ambiguous on Monday whether they were doing that, I thought they might have just been writing Henry out for a bit.

So the WWE have turned the best 2 heels they had (CM Punk and Mark Henry) face? Who is going to step up now?

I for one hope its Bray Wyatt. I would also like to see Fandango get the momentum he had before the concussion. Yes Im still championing Fandango!!!

Punk might have been the best heel they had but for the type of character he is (The Best In The World) then he is a better face when hes being himself that is and not the happy clapper he turned into after the 2012 Rumble

Its a strange one, I can see why The Shield would take him out, hes the Worlds Strongest Man, if you want to re-establish your dominance you go after the biggest dog in the yard, on the flip sode Henry isn't the type of character who just sits back and lets people bully him.

Mark Henry has been a great character over the last couple of years but for me he's served his purpose, his best days are behind him and he should be opposite guys they want to place in better position.

John Cena beating Henry meant very little, Roman Reigns or Dean Ambrose going over him now is huge

Ive got no idea what the logic is with Vickie Guerrero, is Vince so far removed from his own product that he actually believes fans want her? I cant remember the last time I actually watched one of her segments, I instantly fast forward when she comes on TV, Some people live by the rule any reaction is better than no reaction but when the derision leads to people turning off or skipping segmenys then thats never a good thing

Does anyone else think that Mark Henry came across so well with that last promo that they thought the fans would get behind him as a face? His interaction with the crowd and his off the cuff banter migjt have persuaded the powers that be that at least for a while he could be a guy the fans could care about enough to get a heel over like Swagger, Del Rio, Cesaro, Ambrose, Reigns, Sandow

Got a feeling its part of the whole bigger picture of Triple H Vs Mr McMahon. Vince is behind Vickie and wanted her to stay on Raw, when she is removed Vince uses his power because he can to keep her in a job on Smackdown. Triple H/Steph will get angry along the lines of 'if she's not good enough for Raw why does she have a job on Smackdown?' It will be part of the intensifying of the fued building in the background.

I'm presuming Henry turns face now as the whole retirement schtick was probably a precursor for what's to come. I'm expecting a last run of some sort is coming, I suppose he deserves to be cheered on his way out of the building.

Henry's signed a new 3 year contract so it looks as if we'll be waiting a while for his actual retirement speech.

If it adds to a on screen storyline in the whole then I imagine they see it as the greater good for the company for her to be utilised.

But she has been unwatchable for years! I understand the fact that she was in the Raw GM position at the time means it makes sense as far as the McMahon storyline goes, but she shouldn't have been in that position in the first place!

Booker was a decent GM, as was John Laurinitis, as Brad Maddox is at the moment. Vickie is awful and Teddy Long is stale, but these two appear to be on a rotation when WWE have proven that other people can fill the role in a more entertaining manner!

Brad Maddox on one brand and John Laurinaitis on the other would be amazing! The skits would be comedy gold with the both of them trying to be "cool" but failing epically!!

Don't buy that at all, they could do that storyline with anyone if they wanted to do that storyline but they keep going back to Vickie because someone high up behind the scenes must truly believe the fans want to watch Vickie

She's past her sell-by date by a couple of years now, but she does still get heat, the only issue is that it's legitimate heat, people are booing because they don't want to see her.
