Iron Man 3 (may include spoilers)

What's everyone's opinions of the new Marvel offering? Personally, I loved it. I thought it was the best out of the 3. Guy Pearce is outstanding in it, he brings a new dimension to villainy.

I like the use of Jarvis as well.

Pretty poor tbh, typical sequel but:

Poor villan with lousy motive, over the top closing scene and a lot of silly things happening:

e.g. suit running out of power when it is powered by Starks generator, the Mk 42 fitting on people different sizes to stark - with no markers, the suit falling apart when touched for comedy etc etc

Enjoyable enough blockbuster but not a patch on the first.

Good watch, maybe not hitting the heights the previous films set, but still a thoroughly enjoyable watch

I thought the villain was good, very well played by Guy Pearce. The 1st is a great film and 2 is good, I just think this one was that little bit better. It rounded the trilogy off perfectly.

Some of the action sequences are outstanding, especially the president being saved by the Iron Patriot.

Little quiz question, does anyone recognise the guy who played the president and know what other role a lot of people will have seen him in??

Die Hard 2?

He is in Die Hard 2 but that wasn't the film I was thinking off. He is also in Shawshank Redemption but that is irrelevant!

I'm curious as to what way you think the villain is good? I thought he was a terrible nonsensical character.

A true mandarin would have been a far better villain.

He was the Grim Reaper in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

Marvel today have announced that Downey Jr has signed an extension to his current deal to continue te role of tony stark

Wouldn't expect any more standalone iron man movies though as the deal is for two further avengers movies

I thought that was the end of the IM series anyway?
