Froch - Page 3 Empty Froch

First topic message reminder :

What a loud mouth foolish guy. Fight Ward and get humble again. Saw his performance on ringside and he came across as a first rate jerk.

This is exactly what Az says when defending Khan. But, he's swapped his entire position here.

Still, I agree that Froch, despite having 'walked the walk' for the most part, has made himself look like a bit of a dick with his post-fight comments. I wish he'd have toned it down just a bit.

Agreed thumbsup

Although saying Froch is 'bit of dick' is like saying saying Oliver Reed 'enjoyed a tipple'

Agreed Steffan, but who can Ward fight that wouldnt be a waste of time? I cant see anyone out there for him at all. I would like to see the Dirrell brothers back in the mix, dont quite know what happened to them.

Froch should fight (and beat) Groves soon. Then take a job as a nurse so he can fight Clev.

I just think in this division Ward fighting Froch in his own country is the biggest challenge he has out there with out giving an up and coming fighter like Degale or Groves a chance like the Ks do.

It would prove he can dominate in another persons back yard, and Froch is in his prime and wants the rematch.

I still think Ward will win the fight but he will be put under more pressure. Other than that he needs to step up a weight while Froch fights Degale or Groves which is a risky fight for him as if he wins then "his opposition was not ready for world level"... if he looses which he may do,then it wont look great.

And a Kessler 3 would be a bore even though they both go for it.

Froch is no longer saying that a fight with Ward must happen in the UK and has opened Vegas as a neutral venue (see BBC website). He has also suggested next Spring to give Ward time to recover from the hsoulder injury, so he can also fight between now and Christmas. I'd be happy with that outcome.

Sounds great to me.

Especially if he takes a tune-up in the meantime, maybe Clev at 170 catchweight. The Welshman has been all over twitter about it the last few days.

Good point about Dirrell. If he would fight his 'mate' is he the guy most likely to be Ward?

Listening to Froch on Ringside, Im curious as to what all the options he thinks open to him are. He said DeGale and Groves werent an option until they reached world level, which is fair enough. He isnt interested in going to 175lb and he said Cleverly would have to come down. Ward apparently needs to come to the UK (seems to be softening his stance on this). Its unlikely he will attract ppv for a mandatory I would guess. So I dont think he is the massive ppv draw he is making out. He still needs a big name to do ppv again I would think.

Without going to 175lb and ruling out the domestic guys coming up its hard to see how many big fights are open to Froch unless he can tempt Kessler for a third meeting.

He thinks he's a bigger name than he actually is. He is well respected in USA and rightfully so as he always delivers good fights and fights the best available. But every boxing fan knows who the best is and Froch knows it also. He lost to Ward and was schooled. Now he is claiming he was injured going into the fight and fought the wrong fight. The man is a Class A fool.

If ward is the long term goal next spring then I'd Stieglitz would be a good option, Saurelabd promoted a man with a belt, should be action packed fight as most of all extremely winnable

What I find strange Az, you persecute Froch for giving it the big I am (and I agree the whole ward thing is over the top) but you defend a man like Tyson Fury who spouts nonsense from one week to the next and he's achieved sod all ! Be consistent

Fury is more tongue in cheek. After the Kess fight Froch thinks he is the man and he actually believes it (imo). Fury is just a joker and plays to it. There isn't any humour in what Froch spews out. He was outclassed by Ward and maintains the 2 blind judges scored it correctly. He whines about being robbed in the ABA finals and only recently acknowledged that Kess beat him fair and square. The man is a fool. Classless fool. Exciting fighter though and I like watching him fight.

I dont know if Stieglitz would take that fight just yet. I also think Hearn will be keen to get Groves a crack at him while he has a belt. Im sure in his mind he knows a Froch/Groves unification fight would be big.

Same with Amir Khan. Gives it the big one but is defended to the hilt by Az.

Basically Az as #issues. Hence why he's known as the most deliberately contrarian and hypocritical poster on these boards.
