As the end of the 2012/13 season is upon us its time to name the v2 team of the year, next up is the left back position

It has to be Leighton Baines really, it's been a very unspectacular year for left backs. Evra has marginally improved from the last couple of years but is probably the main chink in the armour of United and I'm surprised he still hasn't been moved on. Enrique has been inconsistent. Clichy steady but very much an uninspiring player. Ashley Cole has done nothing of note this year and seems to be slowing down as a player, his pace going and just not able to be the same force he was 5-10 years ago. Ben Davies has been surprisingly good, but not world class like Baines.

Leighton Baines has finally come of age, he's probably the most potent attacking force from out of defence in the Premier League and all without sacrificing his defensive roles.

Can't believe someone went for Evra!! Awful awful awful couple of seasons (said as a United fan desperate for Moyes to pinch Baines!!)

I've actually thought Evra found his form again this year, including important goal or two. Still went Baines, sensational year for him.
