The above article basically says the ring was in a unusable state after 45,000 Argentinian fans stormed the ring after Martinez was given the decision over Murray.

Two points, A) why have a small under card fight after the main event in the first place? Chisora was on the card last after Cleverly fought, and the stadium was almost empty, and the night should climax with the main event in my opinion. B) why was the ring that damaged? surely they could repair it, Buckland trained hard and traveled miles and was not given the opportunity he had signed a contract to receive.

The reason Buckland was on after was because the Martinez v Murray was actually moved forward by almost two hours. This was due to extreme variations in weather on Saturday night where they had numerous showers followed by torrential rain...in order to ensure that Martinez v Murray happened they brought that fight forward resulting in Buckland having to wait to go on.

It is extremely harsh on Gary, hopefully he is compensated for his travel and training camps and can get back on another card soon.

ah well, that is slightly better but i would still be annoyed if i was buckland, couldn't the contest be held later or a day after behind closed doors, the rankings would still be valid and the card still made there money.

Yeh, Hatton was kicking off about this on Twitter, said it was a disgrace. The ring basically collapsed. Was an absolute shambles.

im not surprised hatton is fuming, im sure the ring has been full at plenty of his fights and never given way.
