Comedy song is a good shout, but will people just vote for the ones they know? In the rounds where there are songs I haven't heard I have listened to them to make sure my vote is fair.

I think that's too similar to cover, I know there's a difference but most of the choices were ones that improved on the original (Jeff Buckley, Jimi Hendrix etc, okay perhaps not Ellie Goulding).

Have you had best live performance or something along those lines?

I notice on this week's poll, Hero has quite rightly suggested people actually listen to songs that they maybe don't know.

I'd add that as a rule from now on (no one can enforce it but it may help a little). There was one round where I put a totally unknown song up and it got zero votes. I never expected it to win but it was the sort of song that I've played to people before who had never heard it and they loved it.

Can never force people to listen but you never know - trying to encourage them to listen may just make a slight difference

Maybes label them 1 to 10 instead of naming the tune, with only a youtube clip so they have to listen to them?

That's actually a VERY good idea YI. May mean we get fewer votes because people can't be bothered to click any of them though

I don't understand what Manics (my 2nd favourite band) are doing here?
