Thanks Maes, that cheered me up no end. Great days which can't now be repeated given the amateur status of the game. Jason Leonard is a legend, great player, brilliant bloke.

I had a few drinks with Will Greenwood at a work thing a few years ago and as a crossover player between the Am and Pro eras he said the difference was remarkable.

On one side of the changing room you had Greenwood and Catt having a chat relaxing easing the pressures pre-match, on the another you had Johnson, Dayglo and Leonard goading their forwards into the right frame of mind then in a corner you had a young Jonny Wilkinson reading through the play book revising his notes.

Greenwood said that was when he knew his days were numbered as the game was changing with a new wave of young pro athletes who saw the game as a professional sport.
