May I make a case to close the loophole that has seen two managers sign "free agents" in Foreign transfers?

The last Realistic league, I believe free agents would cost a minimum of half their TM value in the same way as signing a player from Releases. It's unfair that the two players could be released for what would essentially be free money.

If it isn't, i'll publicly admit to signing 5 free agents next week and then go on to release them.

Thanks for raising it Marky. Wish you'd done it before the bids had been accepted Laugh

I won't allow those two players to be released. Both have been signed with the proviso that they have to start at least 3 of the 11 league games this season, after which they can then be considered as 'full' players.

Neither Gordon nor Baros have any value currently - they cannot be released for money, nor can they be sold through Player Offers. They could be included in an in-league deal, but that deal would have to consider them to be of no value.

If there are any FAs you wish to sign, similar conditions will apply.

Does that sound fair?

If your tactics are late Bull you'll get an automatic 5-0 defeat. If it had been any other week you could have used the previous tactics, but as this is the first week, I'm being strict. No late tactics allowed (seeing as you've waited until 240 to tell us!)

Sorry CF, will try and get to it today at some point. Weekends are very difficult for me.

El Dios - no-one knew you were having problems, so the 5-0 stands. Apologies if you feel hard done by, but you've known for two weeks that the deadline was Friday night...

I cannot believe Arsene Wenger is still in a job. The guy is an embarrassment to that club.

Come on, of all the unreal transfers, an under performing Gareth Barry back to his old club and a very expensive Victor Wanyama from the SPL to a pretty big English club are the two that stand out?!

No need to get ratty because you couldn't do tactics, and as for "if I'd known the rule", that's what you get for not reading the rules for a new league Whistle

Barry moved for 12m has just won the league etc why would he go back to Villa. Its not like he isnt playing enough.
Also 12.5m for Wanyama is cheap they turned down 15m in jan. Plus hes playing champions league football.
So why would both these player take a step backwards.

Barry's current value is about what I paid, and he is behind Yaya, Garcia, Rodwell and Milner when all fit.

First i've heard of Wanyama and this £15m bid, care to back that one up?

Barry is well down the pecking order, is top of Mancini's to-discard pile in the summer, and loves Villa more than any team he's played for. It was a no-brainer.

Wanyama didn't garner any bids in January as far as I know, and the maximum rumoured bid I saw was a supposed £12.5m bid from United this coming summer.

Celtic aren't in a position to turn down £15m for any player.

And for those of you who chose the weekly sponsorship deal, please add your £2m's.

FYI lads, here's two new rules for us all:

1. Squads must be listed with numbers 1-30 only, to make it easier for me to check squad sizes.

2. Anyone found to have a full 30-man squad will not be allowed to confirm any FT bids - therefore allowing other teams to nip in and gazump you.

I've looked at 3 team pages today and all three had too many players, so please check your squad pages OK

I have read the rules and they have changed 5 times - including todays addition of the 5-0 rule.

Also - How can you say Barry is way down - he has played 28 out of 37 games. - and is the 3rd most used Midfielder - behind Yaya and Silva.
The 15m was an Enquiry for Arsenal - made up of 10m + 5m if they qualifed for Champions League - but with 5m a question mark and they lose a chance of progressing against Juve (which is gone anyway) - they told them to try again in the summer - United then Enquired 12.5m - but where told to wait till end of the season

Mate you're not providing any evidence of this. Unless you can prove these 'bids', they're just hearsay. I know for a fact that Albion bid for three very good players in January, but we keep our business out of the papers and so I can't 'prove' any of them. It's just the way it is.

Not including the punishments on the Rules was an oversight, nothing more. We didn't bring that rule in specifically to punish you, all leagues have punishments for not handing in tactics and not voting. Every league.

If City's midfield is fit - and in these leagues we ALWAYS assume they are - then Barry is behind Toure, Silva, Nasri, Milner and Rodwell in the pecking order. Add to that his terrible form, his massive wages (with FFP coming in), and that he's rumoured to be top of Mancini's clear-out list this summer, means that a bid like that was just too much to refuse. If Villa offered that this summer, he'd move.

I know you enquired about Coates (but Liverpool couldn't find a replacement for the fee involved so it died) and McGregor (in the summer - which was rubbish)
don't know who you know of.

Also punishment is fine - but 5-0 out of the blue for a 1st offence seems harsh - would you not agree?

It might look harsh, but everyone knew for two weeks the deadline, and we agreed before the season started that we wanted to ensure managers got their tactics in on time.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Liam at all? Not a word on tactics, or anything for that matter.

Coates was one, but Liverpool were worried about Carragher not staying fit. Coates is dreadful though, glad it didn't go through!

We also enquired after Christophe Jallet, but got knocked back early on that, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, in case Odemwingie left. But as he didn't, we didn't pursue it.
