The captain provided the side a score to bowl with in the first match, he prevented a total annihilation in the 2nd game.
How much more is he left with for today?

Just when Dhoni was taking charge of the batting along with Raina, Raina ditches his captain, gone LBW to Ajmal for 31. India 111-5.

Now Ajmal on a hat trick, as Ashwin goes first ball, LBW again. Ravindra Jadeja the man to see it off.

Dhoni is really trying to take frustrations out on the Pakistan bowlers, particularly Mohammed Hafeez. He had smashed him for 3 6s, and now a brute of astraight drives almost takes Hafeez out. Seems like he has dislocated something, trying to get ahand on to that one.

Hafeez looks alright, he is resuming the bowling after getting some attention from the physio.

Billy this will be a seriously good chance for England to win an ODI series in India. This Indian team looks shot.
Perhaps there will be some major changes in the India outfit. Virender Sehwag was dropped for this match, and Gautam Gambhir wouldn't have helped his cause with that ugly, terrible, nothing shot.
Pujara might get a chance, Rahane might get more game time.
Perhaps nothing will happen, Sehwag might get another chance, Zaheer might be recalled, Tendulkar might be asked to retract his ODI retirement, and Gautam might be made the official deputy to Dhoni!.

The biggest problem for Ravindra Jadeja with the bat in limited over cricket has been the innability to produce the big shots towards the end of the innings.
He has now smashed Umar Gull for a huge 6!.
And India are getting ever so close to 150. Have to take all the positives as when they come!.

Jadeja just bowled an over with just one leg bye from it. Pakistan were in control not long ago! 24 from 24, 4 wickets remaining.

I personally can't see what all the hype surrounding Jamshed is. Anyone can score ODI hundreds in Asia, more so against a village green attack like India's. he's as overrated as Umar Akmal.

He's played 20 ODIs all in Asia, Jamshed has ordinary footwork and as soon as he plays outside Asia, on pitches with pace and bounce, he will be exposed as the flat track bully he is.

He won't be scoring hundreds vs Steyn and co when they arrive in SA in February that's for sure.

Ah well, India won!. I am yet to recover from the shock, as expectations have gone down quite considerably over the last couple of months.
Good to see young Shami Ahmed making an impression and good to see Ravindra Jadeja, that much maligned yet useful cricketer making an impact for the 2nd game on the go.
And the India squad for the England ODIs have no Virender Sehwag in it, and Cheteshwar Pujara gets a call up. So things are after all changing, just a little bit.
But the selectors have warned that one shouldn't have high hopes, as both Gautam Gambhir and Rohit 'Pampered' Sharma are both retained for no good reason.

I thought that it was an excellent fightback by India, they looked dead and buried numerous times only to keep the belief and win. Well done them clap
