Some more great fights!

Sugar Ray Robinson v Sugar Ray Leonard. Battle of the Sugar Rays! I think this would be a great fight. Sugar Ray Robinson was the best of all time so he would win the fight but I think it would be great to watch how he is able to cope with another fighter like Sugar Ray Leonard who was one of the best of all time.

Lennox Lewis v George Foreman. Foreman was very similar to Tyson. He was very strong and he used to imitidate his opponents mentally and with his power but Lewis was one of the coolest customers in the sport and would do the same as he did against Tyson. He would not be intimadated and would handle Foreman like he did Tyson. Foreman and Tyson were the two biggest bullies in heavyweight history and psyched out there opponents but great fighters that were mentally strong like Ali and Lewis beat them and its no coincidence that Ali knocked Foreman out in the same round Lewis knocked Tyson out! So I am going for Lewis to knock out Foreman in round 8!

Rocky Marciano v Mike Tyson. I think this would be an amazing fight between two of the best heavyweights in history. Marciano was unbeaten which tells it own story but Tyson was a fearsome fighter. I think it comes down to how much Marciano could cope mentally with fighting a boxer like Mike Tyson who was so intimadating and a bully. Both guys are so powerful that I do not think this would be one on points. One of them will get knocked out so who copes mentally and who has the best set of whiskers would be crucial!

Marvin Hagler v Joe Calzaghe. Two legends. Calzaghe a fighter who never lost. Hagler was fearsome though and very strong. Speed v Strength. I think this would be an amazing fight that would be very close and would be a split decision to whoever the home fighter was!

Gordy how about Haye vs Lewis?...Your hero Lewis told Haye after the Harrison fight that Haye would beat him as he is too fast.

Haha Lennox probably meant Haye might be too fast for him now! But honestly Lewis would beat Haye if he wanted to now if he did a bit of training. Haye would not last 1 round with Lewis when Lewis was at his best and he would not be silly enough to fight him! He couldnt even beat some of the rubbish heavyweights around now.

Explain then? Both Lewis and Ali were mentally the toughest heavyweights of all time but Foreman and Tyson were the biggest bulies. They could not intimadate Ali and Lewis mentally or with their strength so its no coincidence they were both knocked out around the same time! Both are very similar fighters.

Also, Jim McDonnell stopped Barry McGuigan in the fourth round, just as Chris Eubank Jr stopped Paul Allison in the fourth.

McGuigan and Allison are, therefore, very similar fighters, as is Amir Khan after being knocked out in the fourth by Danny Garcia.

Fantasy fight Jeffrey Rowley vs Gavin Rees prediction Rowley to win in the 8th round. Naseem beat Steve Robinson in the 8th, Naz is from Sheffield, so is Rowley, Rees is from Wales, so is Robinson.

Well certain things are a little too coincidental to be ignored aren't they gordy. Take Ezzard Charles for instance, he shares the same surname as Ray Charles, as originally did Sugar Ray Leonard who was originally christened Ray Leonard Charles, now when he fought the British fighter Dave Boy Green whose surname has five letters he beat him in four rounds, if that is not as clear an indication as you would ever need that Ezzard Charles would beat Lennox Lewis who is also British (kind of) and whose surname also has five letters I struggle to see what more evidence you would need to be satisfied.

Holyfield was a mentally tough fighter who refused to be intimidated as well, but it took him until the eleventh round to stop the bully Tyson.

Why didn't the universe cave in on itself when Gordy's theory, which is as consistent as gravity on earth, suffered this lapse against odds which must surely have scaled at least one hundred billion to one? How could such an inexplicable phenomenon and such a cataclysmic freak occurrence go unnoticed by the world?

Why do people even give Gordy the time of day??

You are forgetting one key ingredient to Gordy's theory Chris. Its no coincidence that Lennox Lewis and Cassius Clay both have the same initial for their first and last names. That, combined with the fact that they do not get intimidated, means that they will knock out aggressive fighters in the 8th.

Maybe it was substandard meat tyson rather than Prime meet Tyson. Especially since he had the ghost of D'amato puree to spice it up. Thats why Lennox lost to Oliver Mccall because the judges were american and they allowed Oliver to punch Lewis then Lewis lost on pionts but he didnt really lose - because he won all the rounds after that but the judges suddenly stopped counting after the second round. However that all pales in comparison with the injustice that goes on today - for Calzaghe is denied his rightful titles in the heavyweight division solely because he hasnt fought wlad or any heavyweights. Surely the undefeated supermw king should be taken at his word and the fact that he's a cocaine sniffing dancer now should not be held against him.

Thats why I said Cocaine sniffing dancer rather than a dancer who sniffs cocaine. In threads involving gordy these subtleties are important lest sky hype jobs succeed (and bang on about me never watching that)
