yeah, problem is it's too hot. Brother's Birthday tomorrow (schnitzel house in the X with Mum too) Very Happy

then he flies back on Thursday. I found it hard to sit still and do much work today.

Ridiculously hot here... but snow on Mt Wellington (Hobart). It was 27 deg C at 2am the other night... almost impossible to sleep without air-con. Hottest year on record and it's even hotter here in the west compared to where I used to live. It's like the friggin' Sudan!

Finally getting a cool change. Impossible to sleep the last 2 nights. 31.5 deg C after midnight but it dropped down to 27 by about 2am.

More work. 3 jobs on at the moment... have to keep doing more detailed drawings. I'm trying to keep it all manageable and use the same components across all jobs. Otherwise it gets out of hand and can take forever. The new computer helps!

God it's warm here.

I had a big day with council. You wouldn't believe some of those bureaucrats. The 'tree woman' had what I thought were minor issues and was going to make me do more work... so I picked up my stuff, all 364 pages of it... and took it to the front desk. Should have seen her back-peddling!

The guy at the main counter just calmly smiled and said "don't worry, I can see what you're saying... it all looks fine" and got the GM to sign it off on the spot. What a relief! It was only about 39 deg outside. Ffs... these people (i.e that poor excuse for an 'assessor') are supposed to serve us - at least that's what I thought.

So basically green light and I'm free to start tearing things down and getting down to the real business organising the builder. Exciting times.

I had a celebratory pizza and coffee afterwards... Smile
