Cardiff off to South Africa for Pre-season tour.
THE CARDIFF Blues are to go on a pre-season tour of South Africa, which will include a game against the Free State Cheetahs.
They will be away for 10 days in late July and early August and be based in Bloemfontein on the high veldt.
The centrepiece of the prestigious trip will be a meeting with Currie Cup side the Cheetahs on August 4.
It will be an opportunity for new director of rugby Phil Davies to run the rule over his squad in training and in action on the field.
On returning to Wales, they will take on Davies’ former team Worcester in their first game back at the Arms Park as part of a series of pre-season friendlies.

Seems like a good idea. Good chance for the squad to get together with the new coaching team and new players. Hopefully they'll turn around the their season. All the fans had better bloody turn out now they've got their wish too!

We will!
Good season ticket sales already, and more to come.
Blues are projecting profits for this season.

Bit slow on the uptake shifty? That article is from May.
Its basically being treated as a training trip, with the game against the Cheetahs as a chance to give some of the new and younger players a chance (the internationals either wont be allowed too play or won't be selected I think)
