Apparently Serena Williams is in her 18th slam final against the ingenue Agnieszka Radwanska in her first.

I'm looking forward to this.

How Radwanska returns on Serena's amazing serve is going to be absolutely key.

I like Radwanska as she isn't one of those annoying inconsistent big hitters.

But then I like Serena juts for her consistency. She's a big hitter but she's got a lot of other aspects to her game too, I think she's just an incredibly complete player.

Radwanska is going to have to be at the top of her game though to even compete so I hope she is over this respiratory infection thing she's had.

Serena's serve and return of serve to overwhelm Radwanska.

I agree, Serena has too much power and experience. Just hope it's not too one sided.

She's been down and out so many times and fought back.

After her injury problems (foot) and the PE that she suffered last year, it's amazing that she has fought her way back to the top.

To think that she won her first slam in 1999! She's competed against a huge array of top players over the years from Graf to Azarenka and remained at the top of the game (when she's chosen to play or when fate has allowed her to play).

I think she has underachieved in her career (strange as that may sound for a 13 time slam champ). She should have had around 20 slams by now and been competing for the title of GOAT.

Anyway, I think she's the greatest competitor in the sport, both men and women and here she is yet again in a W final. Who woulda thought that after she crashed out in the FO?

As for todays match.. no question, it's all about Serena. Radwanska doesn't have the weapons to hurt Serena. Her game is all about depth and consistency and inducing errors from her opponent - not my kind of player. Besides, she's playing in her first W final against a four time champ. This match is on Serena's raquet and if she plays well, particularly if she serves well, then Rads has little to no chance.

Good to see Radwanska fighting for this, these last 2 games have been very close.

I'd love to see a competitive three setter but sadly I think this will be a walk in the park for Serena.

Stosur, Kvitova, many other power players also would have been good. Venus could have also made it competitive.

Ha so she's never beaten her, but at least the matches have nearly all been competitive!

I think it's a bit of both emancipator, nerves kicking in for Serena and Aggie really finding her range. Makes it far more competitive anyway!
