THE OMPC - INAUGRAL CUP COMPETITION FOR THE NEWLY FORMED OMPL
Welcome to the first cup competition, part of the OMPL.
This cup will take place over a set number of days (which will be dependant on number of entrants). At the end we will crown the OMPC winner.
The winner of the cup will gain automatic entry into the Championship for the next 'OMPL' if they are already part of the 'OMPL' then they will get 5 'BONUS POINTS' at the start of the season! Im sure you will agree its a pretty good prize.
The format of the cup will be a straight knockout consisting of ‘Rounds’. These will take place over consecutive days until we have our winner.
Each day I will post the results of the previous round and the next set of fights to be predicted.
Below you will find the rules & the scoring system – Please note that when it comes to the scoring you cannot have one without the other. That is to say if you fail to predict the winner you will not score points for method etc. YOU HAVE TO PREDICT THE WINNER TO GET THE OTHER POINTS.

Manos De Piedra 25 Points vs 22 Points ShahenshahG
So we finally have our first ever OMPC Winner and for Manos De Piedra it completes a historic double. The man who was crowned the OMPL Premiership Champion was unstoppable in his quest to prove his Predictive abilities. It wasn't a complete walkover however and ShahenshahG can feel proud in his run to the final. Having won promotion the to the Premiership in the coming Season 2 of the OMPL he will enter with some confidence that he can do well and possibly gain revenge over Manos.
As for our double champion...a 5 point bonus will be given to him at the start of next season, making the task for anyone to overhaul him all the more difficult. The question is will he be back to defend his crown or with his supreme prediction skills will he simply enter a line on next weekends lottery and disappear into the distance with a lasting legacy?!

- For any newcomers and the forgetful, scoring and rules as follows:
• Predict the winner - 1 point
• - Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point
• - Predict Early / Late (for KO) or Unanimous / Split / Majority (for Pts) - 1 point
• Get all three above correct - 1 bonus point
• 10 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a draw.
• *TKO, DQ, TD or Retirement all count as KO
• I will list fights 1 - 4, this list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.
• Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.
• If a fight is cancelled, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.
• There will also be 2 ‘back up’ fights which will be used in case of any fights being cancelled at the last minute so ensure you fill these in as well.
I think that just about covers it, any questions feel free to ask.

- This Round saw the giants of the Premiership enter the competition and whilst most showed just why they finished in the top 4 of the OMPL's highest league last season, unfortunatly for Tophat 24/7 he ran into an in form Alma who knocked him immediatly back out of the competition. There were no such problems for Compelling & Rich or 88chris05 who safely steer themselves into the Quarter Finals. Manos Die Piedra also made it through as he chases an unprecedented 'OMPL & OMPC' Double. Meanwhile Alanqlm makes it through to the QF's, the competition proving to be the perfect tonic to get over the bitter taste of last seasons relegation. ShahenshahG is also still in the competition as he continues the good form which helped him earn promotion to the Premiership...with the consistent form he showed in the league and here in the cup many will be looking over their shoulder come season 2 of the OMPL. Joining him in the QF's will be Reborn and Bellchees, who is chasing a cup victory which would earn him his place back in the Championship following his expulsion from Season 2 because of relegation.

So the QF's are over and we are left with our 4 remaining players. In a tight affair ShahenshaG won through his contest against Reborn, who could consider himself unlucky as in 2 other games 4 points was enough to get one through. Joining Shah in the Semi's is Alanqlm continues his incredible cup form. The man who tasted relegation from the league is quickly becoming the man to avoid in the Cup. Manos also goes through as he takes 1 step closer to possibly doing the double..in the very first OMPL season to say the least. Match 1 of the QF's was the tightest affair as 88chris05 and alma 4 tied 2-2 however since 88chris05 correctly predicted 2 winners to alma4's one he progresses.

SEMI FINAL RESULTS

- The Semi Final's are over and we have our two finalist for the inaugral OMPC. In what turned out to be an anti climax as ShahenshahG had a walkover to make the final. 88chris05 will be kicking himself having come so far only to fall at the last hurdle having not submitted his predictions. The other semi was contested very closely. In the end alanqlm just missed out by a solitary point. He will be pleased with his progress and if he can take his cup form into the next season of the OMPL then he will surely be contesting for immediate promotion back to the big time. As for Manos...only Shah stands in his way of a League & Cup double. Can Manos do it...or will Shah upset the OMPL champion and get his first taste of silverware.

No will be done and finished by then. Although Season 2 of the league will be getting underway at the beginning of July..If you give me dates that your away for I can send you the fights for prediction in advance or we can sit you out for one season...up to you.

Yeh your use of the ^ does confuse who your getting your point across too.
As for a spot in the Premiership no such luck...however if you win the cup you will get 1 of the 4 spots that will be available in the Championship next season.
