Introducing the NEW BIG PREDICTION LEAGUE ..formerly known as UCPL!!

PREMIERSHIP –

For those that finish in the TOP 4 in a Premiership season you will gain the advantage of entering the PREDICTION CUP a round later when they are run (more on this towards the end). Not only that but the Premiership Champion will gain ‘relegation immunity’. That means if you win the title you CAN NOT be relegated the following season!! Those who finish in the bottom 6 will be relegated to the basement league!

CHAMPIONSHIP –

As mentioned there will be 6 Promotion spots . But here is a slight difference...the 6th PROMOTION SPOT will be determined by the lottery of the play-offs! That’s right players in 6th,7th,8th,9th come the end of the Championship will go into the play-off where the person with the highest score in a special ‘PLAY-OFF ROUND’ will gain the last spot to the echelons of the Premiership! *awaits the sound of woooo*
Those who finish in the BOTTOM 4 in a Championship season will be relegated. Yes that’s right relegated...I know what your thinking...but their isn’t another league below! Well there doesn’t need to be one because if you get relegated your spot will be taken the following ‘season’ by someone else. Mean I know, but hey it will certainly make it a lot more interesting!

Now don’t worry those who know they have failed miserably in past prediction leagues and are already worrying about the relegation spot. You will have a chance to get back into the Championship. Essentially you will sit out a season before going into the ‘random draw’ which will determine who takes the spots of the relegated championship players...make sense?

For any newcomers and the forgetful, scoring and rules as follows:
• Predict the winner - 1 point

• - Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point

• - Predict Early / Late (for KO) or Unanimous / Split / Majority (for Pts) - 1 point

• Get all three above correct - 1 bonus point

• 10 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a draw.

• *TKO, DQ, TD or Retirement all count as KO

• I will list fights 1 - 6, this list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.

• Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.

• If a fight is cancelled, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.

• There will also be 2 ‘back up’ fights which will be used in case of any fights being cancelled at the last minute so ensure you fill these in as well.

The season will be run over a 4 week period (this may change but I feel it will be a good time scale to begin with).
After 4 weeks we will have our ‘CHAMPION’ and our relegated teams and 5 of the 6 promoted teams.
As mentioned earlier players finishing in 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th in the Championship will then play out a play-off for the final Premiership spot. This will be done in the week following the end of the season. Once finished that will conclude the ‘LEAGUE SEASON’.

We will then have a ‘CUP’ weekend which will run over the course of a week...which means come Wednesday night there could be some interesting fights to predict!! This will add a bit of a difference and excitement to the format...and also means the ‘CUP’ does not drag on for too long. There will also be a ‘REWARD’ for the Winner.
