Why is Judd Trump this year's favourite to win the WC?

Judd has never won the World Championship, yet amazingly many pundits such as TV commentators keep stating that he is the strong favourite to win this year's World Championship. The question I would like to ask is why considering that were other players at the start of the competition who have won the event before and have recent form behind them going into the event. Ronnie O'Sullivan should have been made the clear heavy favourite as he has won multiple WC's and has also won a couple of events leading up to this year's WC. If not Ronnie then Neil Robertson should have been made the heavy favourite to win this year's WC as he won the Masters event at the start of this year where he really wiped the floor with Judd in their semi final match.
