The Correct Interpretation

I was thinking of an article to do for my 2,000th post, so here i am - going back to my roots in the wrestling section.

We watch wrestling all the time, but do we take some things for granted? For some reason I like to analyse things and ask myself why?

So I started thinking about wrestling moves and why they have the names that they do.

Now, some moves aptly describe what is being done.
Chokeslam – Pretty obvious.
Clothsline – Done correctly it will take your head off.
Sleeper hold – Again, doesn’t take much to work out what happens here.

But some moves have names that have no bearing at all to what is being done.

Piledriver – Sounds like something I get after eating a pizza from Rocketman
Tombstone Pildriver – I don’t think we will go there!
Boston Crab – I haven’t seen many crabs from Boston, but I’m pretty sure they don’t wiggle across the floor on their stomachs with their legs bent backwards over their back.
Full Nelson – Who is Nelson, and what was he full of?

And the list goes on – Irish Whip, Fishermans Suplex, Whisper in the Wind to name but a few.

We know what these moves do, but for a bit of fun, can you come up with new interpretations for our beloved wrestling moves?
