i know the demands on pro players these days are tough and there are other contracts to be considered....but this tour is far too short for my liking, how can you mould a team in just over a month?

id like to see another week or two of fixtures

Pity they're only here for a month. However, 9 games in a month. That's pretty intense!

There used to be a lot more games but many were one-sided walk overs against State 'development' sides. So maybe it is better to play fewer matches overall but play some decent warm-ups against the 5 Super XV sides. It won't be all easy for the British & Irish Lions.

could add two fixtures...australia A and a australian super xv franchise select

We now that Australia is very good team. But below this team in Australia is just struggle. My mind is that best Australia players will not featuring by the warm up matches and so these might go the way you mentioning about scoreline historical. Much will depends on how big is size Lions team and how many consistently warm up combinator. If much rotation during warm up then this could reveal untrue position of teams ability against weakness Australia clubs and combinators. I watch super rugby and have great doubt surrounding conventional top Australia players. Will Genia seem to be found out this year, or loose some swiftness in his step. It could be trouble for Australia during this tour is my mind.

Gavin - maybe that combined NSW/Qld Country could have been split up?

One game in Wagga, the other in Cloncurry or Mt Isa?

Truth is Australia,USED to be an add on tour by Lions,or South Africa,plus regular
tours to NZ.Usually it would be NSW,NSW Country,ACT or Capital territories,Queensland,Western Australia,plus 2 tests then on for 25 or so vs NZ or SA.
