I know this question shouldn't really be on today's motd thread, but did anyone see the Del Potro vs Ferrer match last night? Was Delpo very sluggish/rubbish/kn*ckered or was Ferrer just even more indefatigable than ever?

Ferrer played a very solid match, he said it was the best he has played all year and that he gets his best results on....hardcourt!

Del Potro missed two smash/volleys which were crucial points. Ferrer played a fantastic match and absorbed a lot of power from DelPo. His foot speed and anticipation against DelPo were really good. DelPo had only 2 BPs, both saved very well by Ferrer.

Djokovic may find Ferrer a handful.

Ferrer is just such a fantastic character - I love his commitment and energy.

Has Tsonga ever done well on US HC? I think not. Nadal to win this without leaving 2nd gear.

Yes I think Tsonga is on good form but I'd be surprised to see him beat Rafa if Nadal's anywhere near say 90%. But I do like Tsonga...great to watch...and another character!

Yep, I'm plumping for the tipsy-topsy effect, their matches are always close...and H2H is kind of 3-3 if you take out a retirement of Janko's.
