Smackdown! 01/04/11 Spoilers.

WWE taped material for this week’s Smackdown following tonight’s Raw from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Thanks to WNW reader Lawrence for providing us with text-message updates. Below are full results:
Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy):
* Wade Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Kingston wins via disqualification when The Corre got involved. Big Show and Kane made the save and Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella came out as well.
* Jerry Lawler came out and cut a promo on Michael Cole, giving him a lesson on manners.
* Cody Rhodes b. Chris Masters. After the match, Rey Mysterio attacks Cody and fails to hit the 619 twice.
Dark Match Main Event:
* World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio & John Cena vs. WWE Champion The Miz, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes & Alberto Del Rio. All the babyfaces hit their finishers on Del Rio then Ray pins him for the win.

What is this - the 1920's?
Thought Smackdown this week was just gonna be a build-up show for Wrestlemania?

It pretty much will be Y2D2, just 2 matches and 1 in ring segment, i'm guessing there will be plenty of video promos and listing the Wrestlemania card thrown in there.

I agree Dan.
It seems utterly pointless to have 2 matches and a segment (and a 'Jerry Lawler on manners' segment at that) and have the rest of the show be a build-up to Wrestlemania. Either make the whole show a preview show or have a full Smackdown taping.

Well NXT only has 1 match and 1 challenge, the rest of that show will be Wrestlemania build up too. And both shows will have Raw highlights, such as the HHH/Taker segment, and the Rock/Cena/Miz segment. And for some reason, a Cole/Lawler video...
