England Arrive Empty England Arrive

First of all - well done to England on a great performance yesterday - We have heard so much about the 2 uncertain performances against Scotland and Italy and the mighty effort against Wales where England were unfortunate to not come away with a draw. Yesterday for me was the big turning point for England in which they proved that they now have a secure base to develop from. In SL they also have a great tactician who has the brains and composure that Johnson lacked. Croft and Foden for me have always been the first 2 on the sheet and I have been surprised about the amount of criticism both have got - they both epitomise the saying that class is permanent and form is temporary - This perhaps reveals something about the english rugby culture and that is, "you need to be more patient" - When I say England have arrived, I mean they have arrived back near the top of NH rugby with a more youthful and secure platform than they had last year. Now they can develop. Winning is not the be all and end all next week versus Ireland and it would be wrong to see it as such. Just allow these guys to develop and we may well get the most competitive 6 Nations next year than we have had for many a year. Well done lads and I'm sure Geordie and the boys have sore heads this morning thumbsup

That's what this 6 nations should always have been about once SL had picked his squad. Getting a core team used to playing with each other. The fact we've beaten France in France is a massive bonus and boost for the squad. Hopefully we can go on to the South Africa tour with few injuries and integrate a few more young players into the squad.
