England Sour Grapes Thread
Just adding a little balanced perspective here. It's not fair that we have our own thread to gloat on when our English chums have to gate crash threads to have a good moan. So please use this to place all your down on luck, who can we blame, we woz robbed, so many world class players, Farrells the real deal, Walsh had a shocker, the ball was clearly grounded, Wales were lucky......etc blah blah blah.......
Go on fill ya boots !!

Re: England Sour Grapes Thread
Transitional periods, North is English, new caps, inexperienced team, scratch side, building for another failed world cup campaign, Tuilagi is class, new coaches, new strategy, Ashton is class his bad form is temporary, Wales are lucky.
Think that covers at least half of it.

No matter. HERSH can only afford the 2004 model.

I don't think the camera man has been used as an excuse on this thread yet, or the producer, as HERSH claims, restring the TMO's choice of angles until after the game then releasing them...

Re: England Sour Grapes Thread
No one has mentioned the welsh guy who marked the pitch that morning and put the try line 6 inches further away than usual - Conspiracy or what?? - That on top of Lancaster seking the opinions of welshmen Hugh Morris and Kevin Bowring to motivate his team and we have a plot that not even Johnny English could resolve

Apparently the pitch was 6 inches lower than normal at the exact point where Strettle would have touched down. Welsh moles no doubt.

Biltong, feel free to vent on the 'Gloating' thread, or the 'fine line' thread, or the 'Who's to blame' thread, or several others. Plenty to pick from, if you can fight through the thicket of Welsh fans to reach the reply button.

Ruby,
well mate, apart from me, I think the Anglos have probably all moved on. But it seems my Welsh cousins are having more difficulty coming to terms with the Twickenham result. They are needing loadsa therapy threads to get over it.

Re: England Sour Grapes Thread
Biltong, you're welcome, vent on man, vent on. I quite like the Bokkies on 606, refreshingly neutral in 6n matters. I wasn't around here in 2007 WC stages, but must have been hell on here for we English. That, my Welsh friends, was what a humiliation really looked like, no sour grapes.

Re: England Sour Grapes Thread
Why is England sour grapes.
England have a good team and England played a good Welsh team, who had a little bit of luck in the last 7/8 minutes of the game.
So no Sour Grapes from me, about the game or about the result.
