Yes it is rather quiet , cant really add anything at the moment as i cant physically go fishing at present .

Was thinking of adding a few storys i read in Eric Morecombes book which are amusing .

Well if I am really lucky, I might have a story for you after next weekend, I am taking my son for his first official fishing weekend.

Don't know whether the fishing is any good where we are going, but we are four dad's taking our collective 6 boys and 1 girl for their fishing trip.

That sounds OK to me - isn't 6lb pretty good for a tench?

I fish mainly, almost exclusively, for trout and those sort of weights sound very impressive to me.

yh its not too bad, the biggest tench i have caught is 10lb

What is a tench like on the other end, does it fight hard or is it a bit like an old boot?

it does fight very hard..

the fish that dosent fight is a bream, they give crap fights.

6lb is a very big tench.

Bream are like slabs, agreed.

The best fight, bar none, is a barbel. The power in those is incredible.

fists my biggest tench is 10lb

the british record is 13lb i think.
