The 606v2 Euro Division

First topic message reminder :

I'm looking to put together a new league over the next couple of weeks and am just this out to garner levels of interest as there are already a couple of leagues out there so I don't want to swamp the section.

Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.

Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.

But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)

You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.

Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.

Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.

Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.

For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.

Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.

Tactics

Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!

Cash

Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £1m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.

remember guys its a 15m player limit so have to be 15m or less on the site but can bid over it

the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum transfer fee you can bid on an individual player is £15m.

I thought 15M was the maximum regardless Nando

In fairness to all FL runners, Hero included, we had discussed the end of FL over the last few weeks as there were the signs of disllusionment growing. Last week was the last straw I reckon.

We had discussed restarting the FL in the format Hero has used here, so really Hero has just taken the bull by the horns and got the ball rolling on a "new FL"

Yeah it has....plus the maximum for the star player is now 35M not 25M (I am sure it was 25M before).

So guys.....regardless of who you bid and what you bid, the maximum is 15M

No it was 35m before for star players!

Yep, which means you have widen your net for players. If more than 1 manager bid £15m for a player, then I guess the player doesn't move, unless you make him one of your star players and bid higher

what would happen if some one has a bid of 20m on oone player in there normal Squad but some one else has it in there star player squad?

and can you bid more in the normal squad for a player worth 20m?

a) It'd come down to who bid more as normal
b) You can only bid on players worth £15m or less in the normal squad, you can bid more than the £15m but they cannot be worth over the £15m mark.
For star players the same rules apply but with £35m the figure.

There is. The minimum is whatever their value is on transfermarkt.com

That is the point Bull/Afro. You bid for someone who is worth 500K on transfermarkt and just bid 1M (you are sure to get them). Then bid 49M on a player worth 35m on transfermarkt so you get the player. I can think of a lot of 35m players I would bid really high for to get.

Think of the 1M player as the "jobber" so as to enable you to get the 35M player with a 49M bid.

As far as I can tell at the moment, that is within the rules, but I don't think that is fair.

Hence why I say there has to be a minimum bid for the two star players.....at least 10M.

Twist - the rules state that you don't have to bid for 2 star players. It actually says that you only have to go for 1.

So you can bid £50m for a £35m if you want

We can only have players worth up to £15m on transfermarket, but can actually bid more than £15m to get them.

We then get an additional £50m for two star players of which we must have one in our squad. The maximum we can spend for any star player is £35m. But from what I can see, there is no minimum, so what qualifies as a star player? What is to stop me using that £50m to get another 4 players for my squad?

Nothing except the rule stating it's to be used on two players maximum.

That £50m can be used only for the star players and you are only allowed 2 of those max.

And the £35m is the max value on transfermarkt.com (i.e. no Iniestas or Messi's). You can bid upto £50m for them.
