Joel Tomkins starts at 13 for Sarries v Worcester on Sunday...

Now i confess to not seeing much of this lad. What kind of player is he? Creative? Pacy? Physical?

Crikey where does that leave Farrel jnr then? if Gloucester prmoise him the 13 shirt would he do a runner ?

Next year he will be mainly 10 i think and possible rotation with Joel moving to wing if req.

So looks like a Sarries side with possiblely only 3 NEQ in the first fifteen, not bad for a South Africian Feeder Club eh

sorry it was a joke relating to the twelvetrees situation.

If this chap does come good ( and having seen his resume and highlight reel youd think so) the indeed Saracens will have a crazy good english backs division.

So Sarries may have a proper 13 in future, that will probably help their style of play. The way they have gone from having a handful of English players to being dominanted by English players is impressive and they deserve credit. Hopefully Farrell will only play 10 and 12 next season.

Tomkins has England ambitions. He's up against some tough opposition in his preferred position.

Saracens will have a crazy good english backs division.

They have a decent back division now, next season might be HEC winning standard (if they can keep their forwards under contract and fit and health);

9.Wigglesworth
10.Hodgson
11.Strettle
12.Barritt
13.Tomkins
14.Ashton
15.Goode

Bench; 21.Spencer, 22. Farrell, 23.Short.

They might regret the embarrassment of English riches come the international windows though.

DaveM I agree. With a proper 13 specialist Saracens could be more dangerous in attack.

Still wondering whether Sarries will keep hold of Joubert and Brits. I hope so.
