Joey Barton

What are your opinions on Joey Barton? Saint or sinner? Is he a working class hero or a lout? He is earning a fortune doing a job we would all love to do. So what do you think?

Brilliant player who USED to be a sinner and a lout i suppose. However, i really do feel now that his past has caught up with him. I mean yesterdays red-card was an absolute joke. He was kicked off the ball twice and he went head to head with the bloke who did it. HE then started holding his grid?! What?! Its stupid. Every team go in to wind the lad up, and AS SOON as he even opens his mouth in respone, he is a victim! Awww well. What can you do hey? He may as well just retire.

Teams know how to play him. Wind him up and he will do something stupid that will put his team in danger and cause controversy.
If nobody took any notice of him he would get down and become the good player that he is but unfortunately he wants to be the centre of attention all the time so he will never fulfill his undoubted potential.

He's reportedly handed in a transfer request now at QPR!

Could not DISAGREE more to be fair. Since he left Newcastle he has done anything but claim to be centre of attention. He was battered OFF the ball constantly against Norwich, he got up, went head to head, then the opponent pretended to be headbutted thus getting Barton sent off?! Thats not fair. He is battered more then most players. They get away with it, but the moment he confronts the ref or the player in question, they over-react because its "Joey" and he gets punished!

Barton has came out and said it's a lie.

I think he is targeted over other players, but so is somebody like Messi, or Ronaldo, he's targeted for a different reason and perhaps in a different way but that's his own fault.

He could be a good player, but unfortunately his mouth gets in the way of that.

He's targeted for a reason - a despicable man..............
