Can't say I'm to excited about the prospect, more disheartened by what might have been once upon a time. It will most likely be another superficially pretty FPS game in the long line of such games that have been churned out or are in the process of said churning.

I really hope it's not but mainstream FPS sells regardless of depth of quality and we all know that money talks.

always founf rainbow 6 games where not msainstream,
what i found great about vegas 2 was that the campgain was so customisable and replayable,
terrorist hunt and online also.
vegas two still remains one of my favorite game of all time and hopefully patriots can offer all that rainbow six vegas 1&2 did

and we still have to wait till 2013

I would agree with your statement regarding non mainstream for the games in the series prior to Raven Shield. Since the acquisition of Red Storm by Ubisoft the more tactical nature of the series has been lost in my eyes with a larger focus on the more mainstream aspects of many FPS games.

Less planning more shooting type scenario, which always felt like a disappointment to me.
