Celtic league has done / will do wonders for Italy

Seems like Treviso have developed much more quickly than anticipated since joining the MagnoDirect Pro Celtic league thing.

We've already seen Italy beat France. Won't be long before they register more wins especially when their future stars play for Treviso or Aironi.

The only team Italy have never beaten out of the 6 Nations teams is England.

Ummm, and Ireland - Although only doing a ROG (dropping a goal after the 80th minute) saved them last time in Italy.

Italy vs England this 6N could be interesting - Italy will target a home upset every year now.

Italy have beaten Ireland in international rugby, just not in the 6 Nations, but a win is a win.

I think it was the renaisasance that really did wonders for Italy but their introduction to the Celtic league has helped with their sophistication some what.


Since the start last year Treviso have been a good competitive team. Yesterday's result with the ospreys was no surprise.

It is great that they also have so many Italian qualified players in the team.

I am sure they will still take a few more scalps in the pool yet
