Overall, a great top 15 I have to say. The obvious debate will be Floyd Mayweather finally surpassing Manny Pacquiao (first time in 606 history) as P4P P1. Although there is barely anything to separate the two, it appears Mayweather’s victory over Ortiz has swayed many to rank him as their P4P Number One.
Notable mention to Nonito Donaire, who has now leap forged Sergio Martinez as the undisputed P4P Number Three. With the careers of Mayweather and Pacquiao entering the twilight of their careers, will Donaire be 606’s future P4P Number One?
Andre Ward has seemingly leap frogged Bernard Hopkins and co. reentering the Top 10 P4P rankings at P8. Maybe this is a relfection of many that he will be the favourite vs Carl Froch in the Super Six Final?
Bernard Hopkins is one of the biggest fallers, dropping to P13 from P8 after his lackluster display against Chad Dawson.
In addition, Miguel Cotto was almost virtually omitted from the rankings, dropping from P15 to P23. This is potentially reflective of his inactivity.
NB. From P18 (Lucian Bute) downwards limited votes were received.

Don't know how Mayweather goes from 5 to 1 buy beating Ortiz.

Because a lot of people judged him as inactive last time so omitted him from their rankings.John Bloody Wayne wrote:Don't know how Mayweather goes from 5 to 1 buy beating Ortiz.

In the last vote, many had omitted him as he wasn't active. This time the majority have included him, and I had hazard a guess many feel his choice of opposition has been better than Manny's.

Surely to take the #1 spot he should have done something to clearly best Pacquiao. Mosely and Marg might not be great opponents but I'd assume a guy has do something more than Ortiz to take the number one spot.
Ah well, the masses have spoken.

Yeah I agree, Pacqiaou took hold of the number 1 spot when Mayweather seemingly retired for 2 years and he's the one that needs to prove he's better.

There's a lot of reasons to argue for both, but I believe Floyd would beat Manny by UD if they ever faced each other, that's my reasoning.
There was only 3 points between them after all the legit votes had been cast- it really is that close.

Re: Official 606v2 Pound for Pound Rankings: RESULTS (as at 06/11/11)
Gamboa should be 9-14 not 6, Pacquiao is clear 1, beating ortiz does nothing in overtaking pac. Ortiz lost to maidana if he fought chino again he would lose again.

T20 Eric Morales, rios, Mathysse - Maidana, Chad dawson are just of the guys that should be ahead of them. Who has rios, Mathysse, Morales(recently) actually beaten.

I would take T18 downwards with a pinch of salt tbh, they literally only had one low vote from one poster each. Although, as I eluded to in a post I believe Bute will become the man at LHW, therefore he could stake a claim for top 15 P4P now.
Chad lost against Pascal to be fair, so he still has a lot to do if he wants to regain top 20 P4P status. Rios is highly skilled and talented, hopefully one day will be a top 15 P4Per.

Ortiz beat Berto who was in many peoples top 15 P4P lists. Pacquiao's opponents post Cotto have been questionable, hence why Mayweahter has now moved up to to Number One. You have to appreciate Ortiz was very much a live opponent as opposed to Mosley (Pacquiao's last opponent).
That said nothing really separates them- I guess many believe if they went head to head Mayweather would be the bookies favourite.

Mathysse has arguably beaten Judah and Alexander.

I also felt Morales beat Maidana at a weight which doesn't really appear natural for El Terrible.
It's all subjective I guess, decent list with arguments for and against in virtually each position. The masses rule though.

People will always disagree with these lists, they're subjective after all. But I'm not sure that should be reason enough to 'not be happy' with it. It's a strong list, open to debate sure, but to me it looks well informed and solid. Fair play 606v2.

Coxy, your list was the only one amended to have MP at P2 due to your mistake. Nevertheless, even if he was P1 and Mayweather was P2 in your list- Mayweather would still be P4P number one.

Acosta is the only good name, Peterson and Antillion are boderline top 10 fighters, He shouldn't be in top 20 P4P, not a single world class foghter on his resume, ortiz should be ahead of him aswell
