First topic message reminder :

After the dismay of watching the most arrogant team in world rugby win, it is on to the cricket. Of course the series is already dead with India 3-0 but both teams are trying new faces.

Meaker and Borthwick come in for England, with Swann and Jade "the death" Dernbach missing out. And for India Aaron in for Yadav. At least CF will be pleased, his two favourite players in. Wink

Eng won the toss and batted first and they are 61-2 off 10. Cook went first, then Kies went for 29 after getting another start.

he has had a terrible run of injuries since 2009, almost 3 months til the pakistan series , hopefully that will be enough time for it to heal

bell will probably make one of his "pretty" 40s today and mean he wont get dropped for the next 18 months again

Yup, I'm guessing 43 with some lovely strokes only to chip a long-hop straight to mid-off.

it is amazing how often he gets out with one of those non-committal chip shots to someone on the edge of the circle

Hopefully KP hasn't got a bad one, he has been one of the shining lights of this tour, showing that he is fully back in the zone in ODI cricket, with all that's missing being a real big score.

C'mon Belly, show them what they've been missing.

He is not back in the zone. This can go down as another tour where he hasn't made a hundred. And one 50 wasn't it?
