by Kiwireddevil on Mon 26 Sep 2011, 2:24 am

First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great current props' pictures on the bar. We've got Castrogiovanni, Hika Reid, The Beast, Colin Windon, the Franks brothers, Mas, Tonga'uiha, Roncero, Cian Healey (as demanded by Hughie), Stevens, Murray, Mike Ross, Adam Jones and Steenkamp all in action. Graffiti's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ale Hug guinness cider furious coffee Bubbly RedWine guinness mug Ale Laugh Erm laughing guinness Yahoo Ale

Should probably move onto different photos?

Replacement hookers anyone? I'll kick us off Sean Cronin. Ever seen him catch a ball? He's all hands.

Morning all, wonder how many people in Samoa are called Census. There's surely a way to find that out. . . .

Had a busy evening last night with work but was worth it. Got a lot of hassle sorted.

ha, I just added Hika Reid to the photo line up on the pub walls.

He was a tough & nasty hooker replacement for Andy Dalton. A real thug at times and not pretty to look at... I still have nightmares about him playing!

Also Colin Windon - "Breeze" was a try scoring machine and a tough as teak flanker.

Tense game this...

He is Stag. Been so ready for it. He is 30 in December so just gets there in time. Himself and his Cous are going to share an apt in Sydney. They are great mates soo... well happy.

Samoa playing exhibition rugby here. Could have had 2 x tries more. Easy. ooh sheete. Box in the face for Brussouw. Paul Williams Off! Red. Brussouw was holding him. Push in the face. Not a box. I would have boxed him after what Ive just seen him do.

Gutted to see Samoa leave this tournament. I really wanted to see them go through. They worried Wales and South Africa but fell short both times. I would have loved to see them in a quarter- would have meant so much to a Tier 2 nation with their best side in years.

Shame I'm stuck in work and missed it. Seems like most of the best games are the ones during the week. Still, it's one to watch later. Very Happy

Thinking about it I think I had SA by 15 on SG.

I'm delighted from a Welsh perspective that Samoa came close but no more than that - but these group matches have shown how little there is between the three sides at the minute. You could argue that if Samoa had the resources and other advantages that Wales and South Africa have, they'd be better than both, let alone competetive.
