Post by FIFA Diva Thu 29 Sep 2011, 12:25 pm

Cup Rules:

You select only a starting XI, no subs.
You do brief tactics, no more than 10 bullet points.
Your side must include 3 x Domestic players and 3x U21 players.
A domestic player is one who is eligible to play for the national team of the country your team is based (e.g. Fiorentina = Italy, Porto - Portugal)
An U21 is any player born on or after 1st January 1991
The domestic and U21s can be the same players.
You must show separatly who are your domestic players and who are your U21s.

Same style tactics are last season - starting XI and max 10 bullets points, no subs.

Details on Injuries to be confirmed

Your side must contain 3 domestic players and 3 x U21 - U21 = born on or after 1st January 1991

Domestic = eligible to play for the national team of the country where your team is based.

Tactics in Wednesday, votes on Thursday, additional injury drawn Thursday[/quote]

Details on injuries confirmed...

The injuries drawn at the start of the week DO NOT count for the domestic cup game only the league game (i.e. those players can play in the cup, not in the league).

You will then be drawn one additional injury from your cup starting XI. This player cannot play in the league game following. This extra injury drawn cannot be one of players already drawn out at the start of the week.

Viva's Rainbow Leauge - Domestic Cup Empty Re: Viva's Rainbow Leauge - Domestic Cup

Post by Adam D Thu 13 Oct 2011, 11:19 am

Everton v Schalke - domestic cup tactics

Schalke
Spoiler:
German nationals - Howedes - Fahrman - Matip
U21 - Babacar, Matip and Kenia

As can be seen from the chart, the overall tactics are to play fast free flowing football with the emphasis being on getting the balls up the wings early and crossing early balls into the strikers.

The team has been leaking goals and we feel the best way to solve this problem is to play a system where the midfield is bypassed with long balls over the top and into the flanks.

With the signing of key players in defense, midfield and attack, we feel that the new tactic will work well.

  • Demichilis will provide a wealth of experience in defense which will help the relatively young Howdes alongside Matip come on leaps and bounds. I am playing 3 centre backs to counter act Arsenals attacking threat, with two midfielders (Kenia and Hoger) who will slip back to help out whilst in defensive mode.

Kenia and Hoger have both played in defense so can do this effectively.

The new signing of Witsel gives the attacking options from midfield extra strength. He is used to playing on the right of midfield and can attack from deep. He will cover the right of midfield as a winger should Farfan cut inside.

Farfan will start off as a right winger, where he started his career but will be utilised in the same way that young/ nani are at Man Utd. The ability to either run down the wing and cross or come inside as a direct goal threat.

On the other wing, Marica will be utilised as a wing where he has also played before. His remit is to get to down the flank and cross the ball into the centre men.

Carroll is playing just off the front behind new signing Babacar. He is there to pick up any knock dowwns from the new man, as well as creating and disctributing to the wings.

Both Babacar and Carroll have been given the remit of shooting whenever possible - be as selfish as possible and shoot early leaving defences little time to react.

Babacar is the star signing and a rising star of the game. He is 18 years old and stands at 6ft 3, and possesses great pace. His remit is to get in to the box early and meet as many crosses as possible. He needs to support the wingers when they break and provide a big target. When the ball is played up to him from the middle, he is there to put Carroll into a shooting position with little layoffs.

The corners will be taken by Marica and Farfan respectively with Demichils joining in.

I expect the team to start scoring from set pieces with their heads - I have recruited very tall players to facilitate this.

We feel very confident about this new system, the combination of height, very fast pace, and experience on the bench heralds a newdawn for Schalke FC.

Viva's Rainbow Leauge - Domestic Cup Empty Re: Viva's Rainbow Leauge - Domestic Cup

Post by The Special Juan Mon 21 Nov 2011, 3:38 pm

Everton v SCHALKE Tactics

--------------Fahrmann--------------------
Uchida--Howedes(C)--Metzelder--Fuchs-----
-----------Kenia--------C.Adam-------------
Shaqiri---------------------------Bannan----
-----------Bojan----------------------------
-------------------Babacar-------------------

German: Fahrmann, Howedes, Metzelder, Fuchs
U21: Shaqiri, Babacar, Kenia

Goalkeeper: Be strong, command the are and look to start off quick attacks when possible.

Uchida and Fuchs: Defend strong, watch their wingers and go forward when you can.
Work with the wingers to overpower the opposition down the flanks.

Howedes and Metzelder: Work with the full backs to create a good, strong defensive line and be wary of their strikers and use your power well.

Other defensive notes: Howedes and Metzelder go up for corners, Uchida and Fuchs stay back with Kenia.

Charlie Adam: As the best player in the world, it is your job to be the playmaker as always and look for Babacar or the wingers as they can cause the most damage.

Kenia: Help out the defense if they need it, otherwise be a back-up to Charlie Adam in midfield if he needs you.

Wingers: If the full backs need help, help them, otherwise bomb forward and use your amazing pace and trickery to bamboozle before firing balls into Babacar or taking defenders on and having shots yourself.

Bojan: Exploit gaps in the defence when defenders are marking Babacar.

Babacar: Use your huge size and strength to bully the centre backs and be a target for crosses from the wings.
