Can Nani be as good as Ronaldo?

The stats say it all. In their first 100 games for Manchester United Nani is currently stats wise a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo, Could Nani be a 30+ goals a season type of player like ronaldo or is ronaldo irreplacable in your eyes?

It's an interesting question, and one a few journalist have been asking. But I can't see it myself.

Nani is obviously not a bad player, but the stats don't tell the whole picture, and Ronaldo did have a slow start to his United career before just exploding into a world class player, but at the moment I think Nani is probably at his peak and I can't see him getting any better.

No. Not even close. Ronaldo is a very special footballer, Nani is just a very good one.

stats do not always tell the entire picture and is this case the stats are ridiculous. ronaldo was bought to england extremely young and it took him two years to settle in manchester and build his physique to the requirement of the EPL. his first two years at united were sub roles and the odd starting games in cups n easy prem games. the first 100 games of each others careers are vastle different and once ronaldo had settled he blew the EPL away. come back to me when nani has played 200 games for man u, he wont come near to ronaldo's goals or assist stats. nani will never become a 30 goals a season man

If Nani was ever going to be as good as Ronaldo, then he would have been bought by Real Madrid by now

Simple answer is no.

Nani is still far too selfish in the wrong parts of the field to be classed in the same breath as Ronaldo.
