I'd agree on Scannell, that was just an example of 2 the first 2 wingers that came to my head. Point is i think there are people that may not have seen either play ever, so may not know how good or bad any player is.

Sorry if me going on holiday contributed to things going a little stale. I am up for whatever happens in this league though. Would steer away from the completely realistic league though as people with the lesser sides will soon get bored.

An idea for a realistic league is that we will only have something like 12 managers, take out the top 6 clubs from the Premiership and maybe the two worst sides and have a balanced league of 12? I certainly think that could work as the smaller teams don't have such a big gap to the better sides in the league

Was surprised for my Barca score predictions.

I try to change as much as possible and even when I get a top CB Pepe, I get slated for it

How are you supposed to 'improve' Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Alves and Villa?

You can''t Kam, but Pepe is a drop down IMO and weakening anyone in the barce side is going to be picked up on.

Its the hardest job IMO. I got a good score which i was surprised about.

I think i'd kinda prefer a league with predictions etc where we have more time to build our teams. I love this format and it was great for a season but i think we need to change something.

Injuries and stuff also keep up activitiy and make a league interesting because people cant play the strongest XI every week.

Pepe maybe a drop down but I had Silva, Lahm and De Rossi which surely improves my side - so I thought

I love this format of the league.

I hope we do create another league asap as we have some top managers.
I also think Im getting used to individual manager's preference when dealing with them

Nice Jimbo, I've been sorting plans for Germany this morning, Rangers have a friendly in Hamburg at the end of November and seeing as we had no European trips this year, I'll be looking to go to that

There is no way we will go the season unbeaten. Our defence is a little too shaky for that and we have alot of tough games away in the 2nd half of the season.

Think will will probably draw at Anfield, i'd settle for that.

Utd will beat Liverpool for me. Much better team right now, even with Stevie back, he won't be flying fit yet.

Im doing well on all my fantasy teams this year so far.

Weve now lost at Anfield 3 seasons in a row, think we will do enough to stop that but they always raise their game, cannot see us winning. We will have to play different tactics to what we are atm, 4-4-2 and far too open.

I'm doing pretty welll too, top in league with mates, but catching Kam is notoriously hard for this league...

Depends what team liverpool play. If he plays like Hendesron and Adam instead of Kuyt and Gerrard then man utd will win. What does anyone see in Henderson? Work rate, yes but how many times does he touch the ball?

Luke - my good luck has to stop sometime.
Just been lucky with Rooney and Aguero as cpat for most weeks.

Jimbo - Henderson is a decent player but in a big club, he goes missing.

Have we not 'exhausted' fantasy? We've been through about 17/8 sets so far. It'd be good to add some elements of a realistic league to whatever we do.

I'd agree with Pav, I think we should go down a different route, at the end of the day we did this format because we wanted a change, so I'd say its time for another change

I think the format of this league is excellent since building your squad first team is one of the most enjoyable aspects. I do also think that we may be maxing out on it atm though. Perhaps time for a traditional league with matches etc. Better to have small divisions in some ways since the season is shorter, thus less time to get bored or fed up if your team isn't the best.

Maybe 2 divisions of 6 teams. Initial squads as per now. Foreigns as per now. 3 days after foreigns, squad must be trimmed to 23 players with at least 5 from your own country. Players released go back into foreigns pool and can be bought as required but squads must not exceed 23 players. No loans. Injuries to players each week plus every 4th week, one of your squad requests a transfer and has to be transferred that week - random pick for each club.

Division 1 = Barca, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Inter
Division 2 = Tottenham, AC, Liverpool, Roma, Bayern, Arsenal

2 up, 2 down. Second season, start with fresh squads etc.

Thoughts?

I. like the majority of people it seems, am bored of the fanatsy type leagues with the same old teams and the same old foreigns.

I am putting something together now. Bear with me for a minute.

Agree with guv, make it play everyone one as well to freshen things up every 5 weeks?

Leeking foreigns through rather than a 'piranna' style frenzy which is over in a day and win bonuses may keep the value money also.

Please no realistic league
