***Saturday Tipping Competition - February 26th***

Hi All,
Welcome to the Saturday Tipping Competition for Racing on 26th February. This week we will again concentrate on this Saturdays live races shown on Channel Four, plenty of quality racing to get stuck into with the Racing Post Chase at Kempton, The Eider Chase at Newcastle and also the final of the Blue Square Sprint Series at Lingfield, along with three other interesting contests. The format for this week has changed a little however hopefully it is still simple enough to understand (i think it is !!!!) -

The Rules

Select One Horse In Each Of The Televised Races - Links to the cards are below
The Races Are - 1.55, 2.25, 3.00 & 3.35 From Kempton, 2.10 From Lingfield and 3.15 From Newcastle.
You Must Nominate A Nap & A Next Best
Any Non Runners Selected - Will Revert To Favourite Unless Changed Prior To Start Of First Race

Points Scoring

You Have 4 Points To Bet On Your Nap - This Can Be Placed As Either 4Pts Win or 2Pts Each Way
You Have 3 Points To Bet On Your Next Best - This Can Be Placed As Either 3Pts or 1.5Pts Each Way
You Have 2 Points To Bet On Each Of Your Remaining Selections - These Can Be Placed Either As 2pts Win or 1pt Each Way
All Returns Will Be Settled At The Returned S.P.
Any Place (Each Way) Returns Will Be Calcualted As Per Bookmakers Standard Terms (1/4 or 1/5 Odds Depending On Runners etc)
The Winner Will Be The Person With The Most Points After The Final Race
If You Do Not Specify Your Stake To Be Win or Each Way, It Will Automatically Be Placed As Win

As always, this is a bit of fun .... hopefully the rules and scoring are pretty simple to follow however if anything is unclear feel free to ask a question and i will do my best to get back to you.

No worries Solerina, it's a pleasure doing it. Hopefully we'll manage to find a few winners between us this week !!! I tried to drum up a bit of interest from 606 but managed to upset one of their regulars, nevermind some people are born miserable ....anyway, good luck for this week !

Well we all managed to find a winner today .... Not sure how much boasting those of us that managed only Captain Chris @ 2/5 as our only winner can do(that includes me !!!!).
The 4m 1f slog in the mud at Newcastle was the key to todays final standings and congratulations go to Racingnut who pinpointed the excellent 16/1 winner Campanero to take this weeks Number One Position from Solerina in second place who was the only one of us who managed to came up with two winners from the six races. Below are the final standings -

Total fluke,dont expect 16/1 winners every week! Thats the way i punt(when i do bet),i always look for ones that i think have a much bigger chance than their odds suggest.Ive backed plenty of losers over the years but by the same admission ive backed some belting priced winners.

i did make a bit of a boo boo in the first race and would have had zarkander but didnt even notice he was in the race.. what an idiot. easy to say now tho. dont think id have won even if i did have him
