WWE sources have confirmed that The Rock and John Cena will be a part of a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Match.

The official WWE website confirmed Friday evening that The Rock will be returning to the squared circle at the Survivor Series on November 20. He will be participating in a Traditional 5-on-5 Tag Team Match at the show.

Their statement reads: "WWE sources have confirmed that The Rock and John Cena will be a part of a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Match."

As of this writing, CM Punk and Sheamus will be teaming up with the babyfaces against a team consisting of Alberto Del Rio, The Miz and R-Truth.

The Rock will also return to RAW before Survivor Series and appear on a few shows.

I see Rock and Cenas team losing. I recon it will be Rock hiting Cena with the rock bottom and walking out (hopefully to a massive cheer) or Cena hiting the rock with the AA (heel turn ??)

Survivor Serise hasnt been good in recent years but this is looking like it could be the event of 2011 (behind money in the bank of course !)

What I really don't get is why the first time that the Rock competes in a match in years was revealed on a Friday afternoon via Facebook.
You have a PPV tonight, surely that would be more fitting? Tease something beforehand sure to get people to tune in tonight but make the reveal on a show.

This has been borderline TNA marketing quality.

Bad decision in my opinion takes the shine off the main event at mania. The only thing that was exciting me about that main event is the fact that it was a one night only return from The Rock.

I'd be fine with WWE hinting at something on FB and Twitter, get the internet abuzz with what it could possibly be, that's using social media to its potential.

It just says they will both participate. Surely it makes more sense for them to be against each other?

The Rock mentioned something before the WWE did, I wouldn't be surprised if it was The Rock who chose to reveal it then and WWE just had an official announcement.
