Week Twelve Review

Dirty, cheap shot or opportunistic flash of brilliance?

Ultimately it matters not, the record books show KO4 and Mayweather moves one win away from emulating the great Joe Calzaghe.

Elsewhere there was more great entertainment from Tyson Fury, mixed fortunes for the Smith brothers and a controversial Vegas undercard, but the fight we are all interested in is the battle for the inaugural Union Cane's Prediction League title between coxy0001 and The genius of PBF.

The gauntlet was laid down by coxy0001 with an impressive haul of 12 points, however it wasn't quite enough, the boasts and bravado sounding decidedly hollow now.

The first thread locked because it got too big, there was nothing sinister there.

Windy left due to reasons, but action has been taken and we think (hope) he'll be coming back shortly.

Rowley has popped out for a stroll on Ilkley Moor (bah' t'at) and everyone has assumed that he's left in support of Windy, but he just fancied a bit of air.

The league is still open, and 606v2 is not closing.

They also put a man on the moon, and the Titanic sank.

My bad, I just saw Hobo's announcement. I really should up my visits of the boxing boads. A very unfortunate loss of an objective, fair and unaggressive contributer if he's gone for good, hoping that's not the case. That goes to rowley too.

Anyway, I am off home now. Not to return for a week. Glad the day passed without incident anyway. If rowley and Windy come back to the boards in my absence, tell them both I love them and miss them greatly.

Union/Sean, feel free to take on the role of Hornet fact supplier if you feel the urge. No-one else seemed to care.
