Music Cup Round 7 (Recent tracks) Pick 3!

This has been regarded as the toughest round so far (especially by those who are still struggling to adjust to life in the 21st century) and several choices were made for pre 2010 tracks before they repicked.

There's quite a range and I'd advise for those that don't know all the tracks to Youtube the songs first before choosing.

They're the 3 I probably hate the most on the list!

Just a few songs that I like on that list, and I'm pretty sure one of them was released before 2010 because the album came out a year before.

Mumford & Sons, Florence and Arcade Fire for me. Cee Lo, Biffy and Foo Fighters came close.

I was checking as the nominations came in.
The ones I was unsure on were Biffy and Florence but Biffy was 18th Jan 2010 and Florence was rereleased on April 12 2010.

Think some people are voting based on the credential of the artist/band than the actual song.

That is terrible, I had real trouble finding three to put on my list that I liked! Didn't realise Many of Horror snuck into 2010, well done to whoever spotted it!

That truly is an awful, awful, awful, awful list of music.

I only voted two, mine and whoever picked Maiden .. I take my hat off!

Sorry but I agree with Steve. The music scene is so stale at the moment with very little musical talent around. It's like the mid-late 70s when disco was ruling the music world. It needs something like the new wave explosion of the late 70s to give the music biz a good kick up the bum

I am just grateful that metal seems to be moving forward in terms of genres. You'll always have the usual run of the mill metal band but bands such a Meshuggah, Periphery etc are taking metal and changing it for the good. So glad it is staying fresh!

See Ste I hate metal music, different people like different types of genres. Bar 1 or 2 I like every song on there.

I could genuinely listen to the entire of the top 40 and not distinguish between each artist. It is all the same stuff being pumped out just to make money!!

I'll save this argument for another day though

Well although many aren't overly impressed with the choices we do currently have a 5 way tie for first place which includes the likes of stadium rock bands Foo Fighters and Biffy, folk band Mumford & Sons and British rapper Tinie Tempah, quite a diverse range there!

I can't bear to second rate songs by bands who's best days have gone by.

As a repreive though and being as everyone is in an angry mood it seems with this round...

Next round is 'War!'

Just because your favourite genre of music is suffering it doesn't mean that Music in general is suffering. Being a teenager my type of music is reaching its peak. The grime scene atm is mental and guys like Tinchy, Chip, Dappy + Tinie making it is only good for the scene
