Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
England have bowled superbly in this second innings, and India's batsmen have had no answer (apart from Tendulkar)

Poor old Sachin. At this rate he's going to be denied his 100th ton yet again. This time through no fault of his own.
I'd actually like Harbinger to stick around long enough for that to happen.

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
England are looking like they'll have a massive selection headache for the next test. Bresnan has done so well, but Tremlett was superb against SL. Broad is in the form of his life suddenly, Jimmy still the leader of the attack. What to do?

maybe just an experiment to see if they can get the Indians to do something silly. Jimmy on at the other end

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
ooo Tendulkar gets lucky there. Goes high over mid-on and Pietersen can't hold it running back over his shoulder (though he would likely have carried it over the rope anyway)

Pieterson should have got a hand to that.
Knock another point off his rating :P

Tendulkar gets to fifty, decent little partnership this, England looking just a bit flat

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Jimmy not having much luck in this innings. Some great balls but the edges keep evading catchers...have to come up with another Laxman special...
50 for Sachin ...

Well, Tendulkar reaches 50, off 83 balls. Not too shabby.
Good support from Harbhajan, who is motoring along nicely.

The comeback is on - Tendulkar to score 250 and Harby 150, leading to a shock Indian win just before tea tomorrow.

Harbajan actually doing something in this series!
Maybe more than a 1 for him!?

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Whoa!
Jimmy gets the big one! Tendulkar gone lbw for 56. India now 107-7 and it is well and truly game over.
England will win with plenty of time and overs to spare today.
Apparently thats the 7th time Anderson had got Tendulkar out. Only a certain Muralitharan has done it more times.

Probably overstating it to call SRT Jimmy's bunny , but he's got him 7 times now in what, 8 Tests?
Handy record to have.

Harbhajan is getting some runs again, I hope this won't save him though.
Its nice to see him getting a few runs, but it is the wickets, stupid!.

So Trott to miss the next match?
Surely 2 options:
Option A -
Strauss
Cook
Bell
KP
Morgan
Hildreth/Taylor/Bopara
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Anderson
(Or with Tremlett over Bresnan)
Option B -
Strauss

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
I still think India should bring in Khan (if fit) for Harbhajan. Play 4 quicks with Yuvraj chipping in with some spin and Raina can bowl if needed. England aren't going to be asking for any spinning pitches, and Harbhajan is just so off form it's unreal.
Re: Trott, I don't think we change the format of the team. I think it would be a good opportunity to learn about the 7th choice batsman, and maybe giving Taylor a match wouldn't be such a bad thing. If we pick Bresnan and Tremlett, what do we do when Trott returns to fitness?

Good catch (in the end)
Bresnan gets a 5fer, surely they cant drop him?

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Anderson monstering Kumar ---nearly caught twice in a row ...batting doesn't look fun
Poor Elstone , wasn't easy ...but he's caught this one ...instant redemption!
Michelle for Bresnan

Harbhinjer's gutsy innings comes to an end, holing out to sub Elstone off Bresnan who gets his Michelle!
India 129-8 and the large lady is warming up her vocal chords.

Option A , Gregers
Won't hurt to "rest" Tremlett for another game , and why change a winning format?

Kumar showing some shot making ability!
Good on him and Harbhajan for wanting to play some shots

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Broad did it when we needed him too, with the bat and the ball in the first innings. Bresnan's done well, stuck at his task and taken 5-40, hopefully with more wickets to come, but it's been done against a demoralised and exhausted India team. Broad changed the momentum of the game, and for that reason should be man of the match.
Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma to get their tons, and Sree to finish it all off with an unbeaten 50!!!!.

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Kumar trying to protect Sharma from the strike. Are they having a laugh or something?
Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Praveen Kumar is considered a bowling all-rounder in Indian domestic cricket. He generally tends to thrash it around a bit to good effect.
