Just to introduce myself .....

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself as a new member.

I have browsed the forum for a while so felt it was about time i signed up. There are some posters on here who put my own boxing knowledge to shame but i hope to add something to the various debates.

I have a massive interest in boxing starting from staying up to listen to Tyson Bruno on the radio with my Grandad when i was a nipper. It's fair to say i'm an armchair fan and i watch all the shows on tv, the only big fight i have ever been to see was Ricky Hatton at the MEN against Vilches ..... not the greatest night in the Hitmans career but the atmosphere was pretty amazing pre fight.

Anyway, i look forward to getting involved.

Hi,

No need for any warnings, i have been reading the forum on and off for a few months so i'm well informed Wink

Never boxed myself, whilst i love to watch the sweet science the thought of getting whacked in the face never appealed enough to have a go myself.

I have done a bit of basic boxing themed circuit training and heavy bag work so can in a very small way appreciate the hard work that goes into being a boxer even before the punches start flying.

Welcome aboard Oddy. I am relatively new here myself and it is a great forum, it really is.

You would do well to avoid some of the WUM's on here though. I would say HumanWindmill is probably the worst. He has never heard of Free Radicals and actually thinks Harry Greb existed. Crazy stuff.

Welcome Oddy. If you are well read in the ways of 606 you have probably noticed that I am one of the more knowledgeable members on here. If you need any advice on boxing or if another member is twisting your melon then just let me know. The screws...sorry...mods do a good job but a bit of extra muscle doesnt go a miss. Im kinda like the main man around here so stick with me son and you will be fine

He's very articulate, and very astute. Sure, he's not multi-lingual but being English he's never had to be. Oh, I know Wlad has a degree but seriously, what's it in? Sports science? Not a proper subject then..?

I agree Windy. As I say I want Wlad to win but I think Haye will beat him by TKO. I dont know why the bookies have Wlad favourite to be honest. Im hoping that Wlad can work behind the jab and avoid big punches. Its gonna be exciting either way. Haye will win but I hope im wrong

The bookies have wlad as favourite because he's the natural heavy with the proven pedigree at the weight. He also has distinct physical advantages in a weight class with no upper limit. I'm with you steffan I think haye will shock people in this fight, but with wlads incredible consistency and track record at the weight it's not hard to see why he's the favourite. Suits me though, the longer the odds on haye the better.
