Murray v GGG live on....
Channel 5. I know there was some skepticism on here if they would get the fight live well they have. Also they have David Price's next fight live on December 6th.
Look like C5 are investing a bit more in boxing. Got to be good for the sport

Yeah agreed Wheels, good to see boxing on terrestrial. GGG's rapidly becoming a marquee name so hopefully draw a bit of interest.

Great fight for them to pick up. Golovkin delivers entertainment every time. In many ways its like walking into a supermarket and finding a that a punnet of strawberries that cost 16.95 in the another shop down the road are being given away for free.

It is an amazing fight for terrestrial television. I will try and get as many mates to watch as possible.
No disrespect to Murray, a good fighter who was unlucky with decision against Martinez, I think GGG will put him away within 7 rounds and will look great doing it.

Can't fault them. Always great to see live boxing on terrestrial TV in the UK.
All the better that it's the fan friendly 'GGG'.

I think we need to get over the "terrestrial" TV notion. C5 is no bigger than Dave or the National Geographic channel.
One thing I will say, boxing is much more mainstream than it has been in recent years. Mainly as a result of good domestic dust ups and success at the Olympic Games. Long may it continue.

I think Froch and Groves has a big part. It did catch the publics attention and casual fans were all over it
it was similar to when Benn vs Eubanks and other fights of the 90s.Frampton vs Quigg and Brook vs Khan are 2 really massive fights that need to happen next year.

Well its is a lot better than watching the likes of Fury hitting himself or watching Eubank Jr knock out local guys from the pub. GGG is a genuine world class fighter who is actually exciting for the sport.

F**k you...I'm far superior to the channel that brings you "The boys with five ar$es" or "The Woman who lives in a egg cup" style documentaries. All Time Great wrote:WelshDevilRob wrote:Can't fault them. Always great to see live boxing on terrestrial TV in the UK.

As good as it may be to have it on C5 I won't be watching it as it will clash with Strictly..., Dancing on Ice, I'm Celebrity, Big Brother or whatever other f*cking w*nk my wife seeming can't live without watching.

Time for another tv and/or sky multiroom Dave. Only going to get worse with your sprogs demanding octonauts/peppa pig/dr who etching etc.
Luckily I quite like the octonauts, its pitched at my level, and I can relate to daddy pig.

Re: Murray v GGG live on....
Great news. This will be the highest profile fight on c5. I really wish murray's promotor would promote the sh1t out of this fight, get him on talk shows, soccer am, hell get some slapper to do a tell all story. But alas it'll probably drift by without the British public as a whole realising it's happened.
