Breaking Bad - Contains Spoilers
Does anybody other than me watch and love this show. Have to be honest I am a late convert to the show as I only started watching it when I got Netflix but it is awesome. For those unfamiliar with the show it is about a high school chemistry teacher who get diagnosed with cancer and so in order to leave his family financially secure he begins manufacturing Crystal Meth. Because of his expertise as a chemist he turns out to be really good at this.
However perhaps inevitably producing crystal meth brings him into contact with other drug dealers, the DEA and the Mexican cartels with inevitably perilous results. If anyone has not seen it I can highly recommend it, really tense, incredibly dark humour and it has the brilliant Bryan Cranston starring in it, even thought I struggle to think of him as anything other than Hal in Malcolm in the Middle.
One thing I would add though is I have only seen the first four series so if anyone gives any spoilers for the fifth series I may well ban them.

I love this show, oen of my fave of all time, its incredible and im hyped for season 5, shame its the final season have to say though sing Bryan Cranston go from his role in MITM to BB. the guy is a stunningly good actor and loved the way Walt has transformed to Heisenberg!
Also love the chemistry between Walt and Jesse!

Cranston is one of the most under rated actors out there at the minute. Was brilliant in Drive and Argo and is nice to see him finally getting the work his talent deserves.

That is one of the great strengths of the show. As it has progressed some of the things Walt has done have become more and more extreme but they never seem implausible or far fetched. Testament to both the writing and his abilities as an actor.

Is definitely worth watching one two, is a bit of a slow burner but once it gets going it is very addictive, much like Crystal meth

I'll take your word for it jeff. I always thought that guy who was in Malcolm in the middle played Adam from Dynesty.

My favourite character currently is Saul, funny that the lawyer is the dodgiest bloke in it.

Only got into Breaking Bad in March, and have managed to watch all the episodes on Netflix. It's one of those rare shows which gets better and better, series by series. Some many legendary characters, and great performances. It's hard to believe that Bryan Cranston used to play the put-up Dad in Malcolm in the middle.

Re: Breaking Bad - Contains Spoilers
I saw the last few minutes of an episode about 2 weeks ago and really liked it. So I decided to watch it from the beginning on netflix this week. Its the best show I have seen since the first few series of prison break!
At the moment I'm on episode 5 in series 2. I always liked Cranston for some reason. Maybe its because he looks like those on my fathers side of the family but to go from Hal on Malcolm in the middle to Walter White is a big leap!
The show is nicely paced and theres always tension as Walter White (Cranston) and his new buddy Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) try to avoid the law. White and Pinkman are also like the odd couple which gives the show another dimension.
I would give it a 9/10 rating and I'm not easily convinced. Try watching the first episode and you'll be hooked!

One of the best TV shows out there for me, up there with sopranos. Getting sick of waiting for the last eight episodes though, been well over a year. The momentum has disappeared. I've nearly watched two full seasons of Dexter before it returns.

Re: Breaking Bad - Contains Spoilers
I started this series last night, after constant amazing reviews from friends. What really swayed me was that my entire family, including my parents who are hesitant of anything with violence in, smashed through the entire series in 2 months.
I'm 3 episodes in and really enjoying it so far. Cranston is pretty sublime at playing Walt.

Excellent program, between this and Game Of Thrones for best thing on telly at the moment.
Anyone know when the whole series 5 will be out on DVD? Can't bring myself to order half a series

Gotta love your enthusiasm bull, but to write off Game Of Thrones so quickly tells me maybe you haven't given it a chance?
Back on topic and i hope Breaking Bad doesn't have the predictable ending, hard to see how that can be avoided though. Mind you, whoever wrote it is quite obviously a genius (see series 4 finale for proof of this) so i'm not doubting them for a minute!

Out of interest, what do you see as a predictable ending. Probably best put it as a spoiler as per Rowley's warning!

Apparently it's going to end in a low so no happy ever after. Superb show though. Looking forward to seeing how Walt dodges Hank. I'd imagine there'll be quite an epic confrontation between the 2.

Online on my mobile, not sure how to add a spoiler box. I haven't seen any of series 5 so can't really spoil anything though.
Walts cancer finally catching up with him would be the predictable and perhaps inevitable ending to the whole thing.

According to this article, sometime in August. Bit sceptical though, as it only starts back in the US in August, so can't see Netflix being able to give UK viewers a chance to watch the final episodes before the American viewers.

It'd be great for it to continue but we're on series 5 of a program about a guy who's terminally ill. Can't see any more unless walt junior pulls a verbal from the usual suspects

Sons of Anarchy is also brilliant! Lot of excellent programs kicking about right now, i tend not to bother with films anymore.
Series 4 of BB is up there with the best telly ever made, especially the ending. Totally blew me away. Can't wait to sit down and blitz the whole of series 5 in what will be the laziest weekend ever!

- New Episode!!!:
- Great first show back, as the longest poo in TV history finally ends
Really excited for the final few episodes, particular with the fore-shadowing at the beginning of the episode, where are the rest of the Whites? Are they in hiding or dead?
Even in its serious moments the bits with Carol were really funny
The garage scene with Walt and Hank was amazing, had be on edge as the door came down
One tiny criticism, self pitying without a purpose Jessie, always grates on me really quickly, hopefully he finds a motivation soon
