Re: New Leinster Overseas Signing
I'd like to see Drew Mitchell at Leinster.
Been a fan of his for a long time.
Think he's a very good player.

Zac Guildford???? This a joke? Lad's a car crash. Happy to take Mitchell and Le Roux looks very good albeit from the little I've seen of him so far.

Some of the Leinster lads are rumoured to enjoy themselves a fair bit, I'm sure Zach would fit right in!
Mitchell would be the best fit, Guildford has supreme talent but is a headcase

Very true, his talent is phenomenal, but his days as an all black look over now given his personal issues plus the fact he's behind the pecking order on the wing to Julian Savea, Cory Jane and Hosea Gear. So a move to Europe or Japan seems highly possible.

Re: New Leinster Overseas Signing
Wouldnt want any of them.
Guildford - He is bananas, has a booze problem and is no better than flaky Fitz
Aplon - Is a very good player but at 30 his career is winding down and he is a midget.
Mitchell - Is also very good but old enough now too and regularly gets injured.
Zane Kirschner - What would be the point of getting this lad? Surely you would only buy a foreigner if they are better that home grown options not worse.
Willie Le Roux - dont know much about him but Leinster have had awful luck with Saffers so not sure.

Re: New Leinster Overseas Signing
GG makes a good point. Saffers don't seem, at least from a Scottish perspective, to be the best signings (John Allen and Strauss apart). Without sounding too parochial, NZ's weather is closer to UK&I's and perhaps this makes it easier for them to settle.
Given Sexton's departure, perhaps you should focus on an out-half?
I guess it also depends on whether you want a signing who may be able to play for Ireland after 3 years residency

The Saffers comment is a good point when you think of the likes of Steven Sykes and Jean De Villiers,.. But look north of the border at the likes of Muller and Pienaar who have been fantastic for Ulster. Maybe they just don't like being paid in Euros!!

Was out last weekend and saw Roux, Avuava and McGrath out and they seemed pretty chilled out to me

It's the likes of Kearney and Heaslip who are supposed to be big socialisers but that could be all BS, we Irish love to stir and put people down like.
